Regs and Rules for the List

Both of your list-moms think that you are mature, responsible persons. We hope that you understand that we put up some minimum basic rules for the list.

Please understand that these rules are not supposed to spoil your fun, but to make life a bit easier for everyone. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to e-mail Lara B. or Lee.

List rules:

  1. Absolutely *NO* Slash allowed!!!
  2. No pre-slash (if you know the guys will end up in bed sooner or later).
  3. No flaming.
  4. No spamming.

The reason for the 'no slash' rule is fairly simple. Since 'Smarm' is concentrating on a non romantic relationship between the guys, any romantic relationship (Slash) would go against the purpose of this list. We hope that you understand this.

Ratings

Please examine your story carefully to determine into which cathegory of the rating it belongs and label it accordingly.

The rating system for stories on this list:

  • G - General Audience. All ages. This signifies that the story contains nothing most parents will consider offensive for even their youngest children to read. Nudity, sex scenes, and scenes of drug use are absent; violence is minimal; snippets of dialogue may go beyond polite conversation but do not go beyond common everyday expressions.

  • PG - Parental Guidance Suggested. Some material may not be suitable for children. This signifies that the story may contain some material parents might not like to expose to their young children - material that will clearly need to be examined or inquired about before children are allowed to read the story. Explicit sex scenes and scenes of drug use are absent; nudity, if present, is mentioned only briefly, horror and violence do not exceed moderate levels.

  • PG 13 - Parents Strongly Cautioned. Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13. This signifies that the story may be inappropriate for pre-teens. Parents should be especially careful about letting their younger children read the story. Rough or persistent violence is absent; sexually-oriented nudity is generally absent; some scenes of drug use may be seen; one use of the harsher sexually derived words may be heard.

  • R - Restricted. This signifies that the story contains some adult material. Parents are urged to learn more about the story before letting their children read it. An R may be assigned due to, among other things, a story's use of language, theme, violence, sex or its portrayal of drug use.

  • NC-17 - This signifies that most parents would feel that the story is patently adult and that children age 17 and under should not be allowed to read it. The story may contain explicit sex scenes, an accumulation of sexually-oriented language, or scenes of excessive violence. The NC-17 designation does not, however, signify that the story is obscene or pornographic.

Note: 'Plot-what-plot' stories (porn) are *NOT* welcome.
