Meanwhile, the rest of the Digidestined (old and new) and their Digimon were sitting in the living room at Tai's house. Tiffany, Tai's girlfriend, had her Digimon, Elecmon, curled up in her lap, and she was feeding him some of her chocolate bar. "Hey, Tiffany," Tai said. "You shouldn't feed Elecmon all those chocolates. You'll make him fat." "He likes them," Tiffany replied, sticking her tongue out at Tai. THAT immediately resulted in a tickling match between Tiffany and Tai (with Elecmon and Agumon scrambling to get to safety), which immediately ended in kissing, like it nearly always did. "Yuck," TK commented. Matt looked away. "Found anything out about Tara yet?" he asked the others. Everyone else shook their heads. "Sorry," Ken said. Matt sighed. Tara was Tiffany's twin sister. She had also been Matt's girlfriend, but Matt had been told that she had two-timed him, and had broken up with her. He had since found out that she hadn't, but Tara had disappeared, and no one knew where she was now. "Prodigious!" Izzy gasped then. "Hey, guys! Come and look at this!" Tiffany and Tai immediately stopped their wrestling/kissing match, and Tiffany immediately set to work straightening her hair again. "What is it, Izzy?" Cody asked. "I just received an e-mail," Izzy answered. "From this girl called Lynsdria, or something like that. I won't show you the specific details, but she knows who WE are. That we're the Digidestined, I mean." "Is she a Digidestined as well?" Veemon asked. "I don't know," Izzy replied. "It doesn't SAY that she is, but she could well be. What she actually says is that there are two more Digidestined who are going to join us soon. Only, apparently, one of these Digidestined is going to cause some serious problems in our group, I think." "Do you think that Tara could be one of the new Digidestined?" Tiffany asked thoughtfully. "I mean, I KNOW that we haven't seen her for a long time... Could it be possible that she's now in the Digiworld?" Matt looked at Tiffany, his eyes filled with hope. "If she is, then we can find her, can't we?" he asked hopefully. "I don't know..." Agumon said. "She might not be the one who will cause problems in our group, but that would mean that the other one will cause problems in our group. Could we really deal with that?" "Does it say what sort of problems will be caused by this new Digidestined?" Kari asked Izzy. Izzy shook his head, his expression obviously confused. "No," he answered. "And that's what I don't get. This Lynsdria only says that the Digidestined will cause problems. So she either doesn't know, or doesn't wish to tell us for some reason." "Now HERE'S something interesting," Davis commented. "Izzy, how did you know that this Lynsdria is a girl? I don't think that its the sort of thing that you'd just put in an e-mail..."

Tessa stepped back away from the bushes with a frightened expression on her face. However, her expression quickly changed to one of relief and welcome as a pretty girl with long black hair down to her waist and sparkling, laughing green eyes stepped out of the bushes with a wizard Digimon next to her. "Tara," Tessa smiled. "And Wizardmon. Thank goodness you two are both back all right. I was beginning to get worried." "You ALWAYS get worried," Tara commented. But her eyes were kind, and her smile took the sting out of her words as she continued, "And you really don't need to get worried. Wizardmon and I aren't your responsibility. Any trouble we get into is OUR doing. NOT yours." Tessa flushed and turned away, completely missing the teasing note in the other teenager's voice. Tara sighed. Then, her face brightened, and she handed Demitruthmon and Tessa a piece of fruit each. "Here. I found these." Demitruthmon's eyes brightened as she took the piece of fruit from Tara and began to nibble on it delicately. "Oh, yummy! Thanks, Tara! This is my favourite fruit ever!" "I know," Tara laughed. "Why do you think that I got it for you?" She then turned to Tessa, who was just staring at the piece of fruit in her hands, and not actually eating any of it. Her smile faded, and she looked at the younger girl with a worried expression on her face. "Tessa?" she said. "Are you all right?" The teenager blinked. "What? Oh, sorry. No, everything's fine." As if to prove it, the young princess brought the fruit up to her mouth and ate. But the others still weren't convinced that she was actually all right. "Hmm," Tara said, her expression flicking from worried to thoughtful and back again. "Tessa, you are obviously NOT all right. Come to think of it, you haven't actually been yourself since the fight you had with Aruchenimon and Mummymon." Tessa forced a smile that was obviously fake. "Of course I'm fine," she lied.

*** Flashback ***

Tessa ran to where she knew Aruchenimon and Mummymon were, with Patamon following close behind her. "Tessa, wait up!" Patamon pleaded. "I can't keep up with you!" Tessa turned round. "Patamon!" she cried. "You're not supposed to be here! Go back and wait with mother, Lightamon, and Demitruthmon!" "I won't!" Patamon refused. "Not after what you did for me!" "You can't digivolve without TK!" Tessa cried. "You're no use to me if you can't digivolve!" Patamon stared at Tessa with shocked hurt. Then, without another word, he whirled and flew away. And not a moment too soon. Aruchenimon walked forward, a smile playing around her mouth. "So," she sneered. "The great goddess sent a CHILD to defeat me? What a laugh! Prepare yourself for death!" "I think that YOU'D better prepare yourself for death!" Tessa replied boldly. "I am no normal child. I am the Digimon Princess Tessa!" "Whatever," Mummymon said with a bored look on his face (or what could be a bored face). "You're still a child. And children are no match for two Mega Digimon!" (Are they Mega or Ultimate? I can never remember which. Sorry!) "Wait," Aruchenimon said thoughtfully. "I think that I've heard of the Digimon Princess Tessa. But, from what I heard, she was evil. What are you doing helping the side of good... PRINCESS?!" Aruchenimon sneered. "You obviously don't know anything," Tessa answered coldly. "I became good again a while back. So far, I have been helping the Digidestined against you. Not that I think they need help! They're more than a match for you bugs!" "BUGS?!" Aruchenimon shrieked, outraged. "I'll show you bugs!" With that, she plucked a white strand of hair from her head. "Spirit Needle!" she screamed, sending the suddenly straight strand of hair at Tessa. Tessa twisted to one side. However, she was too late. The needle pierced her side, and she felt Aruchenimon's poison course through her. She gasped and staggered, almost falling over. Mummymon laughed. "See!" he cried. "Just a child! She'll die from your poison soon, dear! Then, we can go and kill the other Digidestined!" At those words, something inside Tessa seemed to snap. She straightened up as the Destiny Stone around her neck began to glow, slowing the spread of poison through her body down. "Tessa digivolve to... Angel Form!" White light surrounded Tessa. A glowing white helmet came down on her head. White and gold wings sprouted from her back, and a white robe wrapped itself around her body. A glowing sword appeared in her right hand, and a staff appeared in her left. Tessa shot towards Aruchenimon and Mummymon, who were staring at her in shock. "Golden Sword and Staff Blow!" she cried. The attacks coursed through the two Mega Digimon. After a few moments, they disintegrated. Breathing heavily, Tessa drifted to the ground, and regained her normal, natural form. She was pale and shaking. The Destiny Stone had stopped the poison in her body... But for how long?

*** End Flashback ***

Tessa had never told anyone what had happened to her then. She had soon returned to the Digital World, and had met up with Tara. But she had never told anyone, not even Demitruthmon, the truth. That there was poison inside her body, and, as soon as the Destiny Stone was removed from around her neck, then the poison would kill her. Slowly or quickly, it made no matter. The good news was that no one could take the Destiny Stone from her without her permission. The bad news was that she would soon have to remove it and give it to the Digidestined. Tessa had gotten used to suffering in silence now. She smiled at Tara, but, inside, she felt lonely, and wished that she had the strength to ask someone to help her. But what help could anyone give? "Tessa? Are you all right?" Demitruthmon asked. Tessa forced a smile. "Yes, of course," she answered. Inwardly, though, she wondered what would happen to Demitruthmon if she died. Would she die as well? "Tessa?" Wizardmon said hesitatingly. "Tara and I found a really nice clearing some metres away from here. Would you like to come and look at it?" "Of course I would!"

"Hey, Ken," Davis smiled at his friend. "Would you like to come and sleep over my house tonight?" Ken thought about that for a moment, then smiled hesitatingly, and bowed. "I would be honoured, Davis." "I know that I wouldn't be honoured to sleep round Davis' house," Yolei whispered to Kari, who giggled. "I had better go and ring my parents to let them know where I am going to be, though," Ken added thoughtfully. "Ok!" Davis replied brightly after glaring at Yolei and Kari. That night, Ken had a dream: He and Wormon were in a cave that was in a strange place somewhere. Standing in the middle of the cave was Tessa with a strange fairy-thing perched on her shoulder. "Wormon, is that a Digimon?" Ken whispered to his Digimon partner. "Yes, it is," Wormon whispered back. "I couldn't tell you which one it is, though. But have you seen that that's Tessa?" Ken nodded slowly, his eyes angry. "What's SHE doing in my dream?" he hissed. The fairy Digimon looked up, and her eyes met Ken's, and she gasped. Tessa, however, did not notice. As Ken and Wormon watched, the young princess leaned against the wall of the cave, her eyes filling with tears. "Mother..." she whispered. "I'm trying. I really am. But I don't know what I can do." Ken felt his heart tear inside of him. He still loved Tessa, no matter what she had done. That would never change. It hurt to see her so unhappy. But then, he remembered what she had done to Wormon, and his heart hardened against her again. Unnoticed by Tessa, the fairy Digimon lifted off her shoulder, and flew over to Ken and Wormon. "Hello," she smiled. "My name's Demitruthmon." "I'm Wormon and this is Ken," Wormon said, smiling back. Ken could tell that his partner was taken by this sweet, friendly Digimon. But Ken refused to trust her because she was with Tessa. "What are you doing with HER?" Ken demanded, indicating Tessa. Demitruthmon looked surprised. "She's my partner," she explained. "Like I assume Wormon is your partner, Ken." "Tessa CAN'T be a Digidestined!" Ken yelled. They were still unnoticed by Tessa, which was probably a good thing. "But she IS," Demitruthmon protested. "What's her crest, then?" Ken asked. "Truth," Demitruthmon answered. "Truth?!" Ken repeated mockingly. "She doesn't know the meaning of the word!" "I think that you'll find that Tessa has changed a lot since you last saw her," Demitruthmon whispered. "If you could forgive her, then..." "Forgive her?!" Ken shouted. "No way! She doesn't deserve forgiveness! Everyone should hate her!" "Tara and Wizardmon..." Demitruthmon began. "Did you just say Tessa?" Ken interrupted urgently. "Yes," Demitruthmon answered, looking surprised. "Could you tell her that Matt knows the truth now, and would like her back, please?" Ken asked. He wasn't sure why he was treating this like it was really happening. Maybe because it didn't have the right feel of a dream to it. "He does?" Demitruthmon looked surprised. "Well, I'll tell her. But she definitely won't want to come back without Tessa..." "Fine," Ken said. "Bring Tessa as well. I don't really care, and I doubt the others will. But Matt will be happy to see Tara, and so will Tiffany." At just that point, Davis' voice echoed rudely around the cave: "Ken! KEN! Wake up! Something's happened! KEN!" Davis sounded hysterical and on the verge of panic. "I'd better go..." Ken said. Then, he woke up with a start.

Hehehe. I TOLD you I liked cliff hangers. What's wrong with Davis? Find out in part three. The hardest bit in this part was writing about Ken being mad at Tessa. Its quite difficult to make Ken mad at someone. But why is he mad at her? You'll have to wait and see to find that out. (I'll give you a clue, though. It has something to do with Wormon). PLEASE e-mail me any comments. But no flames. I don't want to get burnt! (Heh... J/k. ^_^)
