The Brand New Digidestined and
Thier Digimon Too!!! Part 2 By: Alicia R. Martello It was later that same day in the digital world when Alicia and Nickee arrived. This caused Matt and Tai to stop fighting because they wanted to make a good impresion on the new comers. The Digidestined all started looking for firewood, well, all except for Matt, he stayed at the camp to make sure that their belongings were safe. Watches were soon desided as well, Alicia said that she'd take the first watch, Matt agreed to the second. Soon everyone was asleep and dreaming their dreams, except for Matt, Alicia, and Gabumon. Gabumon and Matt were talking a little ways off from where Alicia was watching out for danger, and pretty soon Alicia got bored from doing nothing, so she tried to talk to Matt. "Hey, whatcha guys talking about?" Alicia asked as she walked up to them. "Nothing that concerns you. Why aren't you the group, is my watch already?" Matt countered. "No, it is not your watch," Alicia answered irritatedly, "I'm just bored, and the usual way for me to get rid of my bordom is to talk to someone. Your the only one awake right now." "Oh, is that it? Well, I guess I can talk to you, your probably the only one who will talk to me besides Gabumon," Matt replied. "Why is that? You seem like a nice guy to me," Alicia asked. 'That's it Alicia, get him to open up so you can stop the fights between Matt and Tai' Alicia thought to herself. "Why? That's easy, it's because of the fights I've been having with Tai lately. Now everybody thinks I'll blow up in their faces if I talk to them. Gabumon is the only one who knows that I won't. . . " Matt grabs for his crest and takes one good look at it," That's a laugh, I got the crest of friendship when I only have one friend that'll talk to me." "Make that two, Matt, Alicia will be your friend, right Alicia?" Gabumon asked the young girl next to Matt. "Of course I'll be Matt's friend! There's no way in the world I wouldn't be friends with a guy as good looking as Matt!" Alicia exclaimed then added, "Besides, Matt has lots of friends, even Tai is his friend-" "Tai isn't my friend Alicia, Tai doesn't want to be my friend," Matt interupted. "Now what kind of attitude is that? Putting down yourself is no way to cheer yourself up. Trust me Matt, I used to be just like you, every since my parents split up and my dad took Nickee with him, I told myself that I would never make friends again or let anyone get close to me every again. I lived a lonely life untill Nick pionted out that a person needs friends to survive a harsh world like this one we live in today," Alicia said to him. Everything Alicia said sounded just like his life, so maybe she would understand his protectiveness over TK. "Wow, that does sound like me. . . . Hey, Alicia, are you over protective of your sister?" "Are you over protective of your brother TK?" Alicia countered. "Guess that's a yes, did Nickee tell you that she could take care of herself when you thought it was your soul purpose to protect her?" Matt asked. "Yeah, it came as a shock to me. I couldn't believe it, but then I realized that she was right. It hurt to know that my sister didn't need me as much as she used to, but I realized that she still needed me sometimes, so I never truely stopped protecting her even when she told me to stop. I'm her moral support, I'm there when she wants me to be there, not when I think she wants me to be there. You'll learn that too in time Matt, I just know you will," Alicia told Matt, that's when he understood everything. "Thanks for telling me that Alicia, now I know how to act around TK," Matt just then realized how beatiful Alicia actually was (Alicia: About time ARM. ARM: Shut-up Alicia, your ruining the fic!!!!!) and then he desided to ask her a very personal question, "Alicia, do you have a boyfriend?" Alicia was shocked, Matt asked her *The Question*. She remembered Josh for a moment, what would he think if she went out with someone else? That's when she remembered that Josh was killed two months ago, and that when he died she was going out with some one else and that that someone else broke up with her on the same day Josh died. "Alicia, you alive? I asked a question and you didn't answer!" Matt said as he waved his hand infront of Alicia's eyes. "Huh? Oh, sorry, I spaced out there for a second. . . what was the question again?" Alicia asked although she already knew what the question was. "I asked you if you had a boyfriend," Matt repeated. "No, I don't, not after Josh died and Stephen broke-up with me," Alicia answered truthfully. Then Alicia caught on, "Why did you want to know Matt?" "Um. . . cause I was curious I guess" 'More like I wanted to know so that I could know whether or not you were taken before I ask you out' Matt thought to himself. "It's getting late, we should wake-up Tai, it's now his watch." "OK, but not untill you promise that we'll be bestfriends forever," Alicia told Matt. "K," they shook hands to make the promise official and went off to wake-up Tai for his watch. |
