Chapter 6

That night both Takato and I were having dinner with Takato’s mom and dad. Takato asked his mom and dad a question.

Takato:  Um, mom dad I have a question.

Takato’s dad:  Go ahead son.

Takato:  Well, Josh was wondering about something.  When he first got here he told me about a picture of me he had, and he’s wondering what that could mean.

Me:  Here’s the picture.

I passed Takato’s mom and dad the picture and they looked at it.

Me:  What I want to know is this.  Dose that picture mean that I am Takato’s brother?  Just a question.

Takato’s mom:  Yes Josh.  You are Takato’s brother!

Both Takato and I were shocked!

Me:  But, how’s that possible?  I grew up in the USA.

Takato’s mom:  Well you see Josh, after I gave birth to Takato, you were not doing so well.  You were sick an awful lot and we didn’t know why.  Then one day, we came across some people called the Knobels.  They said they were familiar with your disease and we gave you to them.  They promised that they would tell you one day about this.  So, they got on a flight to the USA and took you with them.  It was hurting Takato an awful lot of seeing you leave.  But, we knew that we would see you once again.

I was just shocked!  I was adopted!

Me:  Well, they never told me about this and I’m kind of upset that they didn’t.

Takato’s mom:  Well, it’s not like their dead or anything.

Me:  Well actually they are dead.  They died in a car crash.  And so, I was by myself for a long time.

We were all quite for a while.

Later that night While I was trying to sleep I had a nightmare!  I was all alone until I saw Makuramon.  He was laughing.

Makuramon:  I will get the key and you won’t stop me!  We need the key to become stronger and more powerful than before!  You have the key and you don’t even know it!  I won’t tell you much, but I will tell you this!  It’s not the kind of key to open a door.

With that, Makuramon vanished and I woke up.

Me:  What was that all about?  Makuramon said something about a key and that he will get to make the Devas stronger and more powerful than ever before.  What dose it mean?

Then, it clicked!  For a Digimon to become stronger and more powerful than before was for them to Digivolve!  And the key that Makuramon was taking was in fact Calumon!  The Devas needed Calumon!
