AVYS presents different ways of acoustic representation of visual information generated by build-in camera of your phone.

Before using AVYS please adjust your MIDlet / Java security settings in your phone to reduce permission prompts during usage or ask your phone retailer how to adjust them.

There are three different modes you can use to transfer pictures into sound.

First, Ringtone-Mode instantly generates synthetic soundscapes based on a 16x12 pixel resolution. It is possible to save and reload generated ringtones. And you can even send a ringtone to a friend or to yourself if you want to use it as a real ringtone on your own phone!

With Scan-Mode you get a pixel-per-pixel interpretation of a snapshot. Again resolution is fixed to 16x12 pixels.

Color-Mode is based on a color recognition algorithm, which will detect the corresponding color based on the median color of the snapshot taken. Accuracy of color recognition is absolutley dependent on camera input, therefore a better camera will deliver better results.

Please note: All modes will analyze the pictures taken from left to right and from top to down, beginning with top left pixel.

See additional help on each mode for further help!
