This initial version contains the scenery and airfield data files for Hawaiian bases. Also included is a text file containing sample entries for the info\airbases.dat file; see my file "How To Add A Base to CFS2" for detailed instructions on modifying the airbases.dat.

NOTE TO USERS OF MARTIN WRIGHT'S HAWAII MESH SCENERY:
If you wish to use these bases in conjunction with Martin's excellent scenery, then you must decide which Ford Island base to use. Whichever one you choose, simply move the other one's files from their respective scenery folders to a backup folder.

TO INSTALL:

Open Explorer. Navigate to your %cfs2root%\scenedb folder. Create a new folder
within scenedb called "Pearl". Unzip the contents of this archive into this new directory, making sure you select the "Use folder names" option. This will create
a "scenery" folder containing the BGL files, and a "texture" folder containing the
skin for the static R4D.

Start CFS2. At the main menu, press the "options" button in the lower left corner.
Press the "Scenery Library" button at the bottom. Press the "Add area" button on the
right. Navigate to your %cfs2root%\scenedb\pearl folder, then press OK. Press OK
until you're back at the main menu.

All four bases - Ford Island, Hickam AAF, Kaneohe MCAS and Wheeler AAF should now show up in your list of bases to fly from in FreeFlight and Quick Combat.
