PHILIPPINES SCENERY V3.0
John Applegate (m4ilm4n) - jwapplegate@hotmail.com - http://www.geocities.com/m4ilm4n2001
7/28/2002

This version contains the scenery and airfield data files for the following Philippine bases
circa 1941: Baguio, Bataan, Batangas, Cabcaben, Cebu, Davao, Del Monte, Iba, Mariveles, Nichols, Nielson, Orani, Pilar, Corregidor/Kindley, and Sangley Pt NAS. Tacloban and
Clark are still under construction, as are static objects for Corregidor/Ft. Mills.

IMPORTANT: THESE FILES ARE OPTIMIZED FOR USE WITH VF2_ROLF'S PHILIPPINES MESH. DO NOT USE
THEM WITHOUT INSTALLING THIS MESH; THEY WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY.

Also included is a text file containing sample entries for the cfs2\info\airbases.dat file; see my file "How To Add A Base to CFS2" for detailed instructions on modifying the airbases.dat. Fair warning - I don't guarantee that any of the entries in the airbases.dat
file I provide actually work worth a damn. You're on your own here, chief. I strongly
suggest you find a copy of Redwulf's AddRunway utility; it should make dealing with
airbases.dat much easier.

TO INSTALL:

Open Explorer. Navigate to your %cfs2root%\scenedb folder. Create a new folder
within scenedb called "Philippines". Unzip the contents of this archive into this new directory, making sure you select the "Use folder names" option. This will create
a "scenedb" subfolder containing the BGL files, and a "texture" subfolder containing the
custom textures used.

Start CFS2. At the main menu, press the "options" button in the lower left corner.
Press the "Scenery Library" button at the bottom. Press the "Add area" button on the
right. Navigate to your %cfs2root%\scenedb\philippines folder, then press OK. Press OK
until you're back at the main menu.

All bases should now show up in your list of bases to fly from in FreeFlight and Quick Combat. To add these bases in Mission Builder, see above regarding the airbases.dat file.

MISSION BUILDERS:
If you want to add your own objects to these fields and not use the static ones I added,
just remove any BGL from the %cfs2root%\scenedb\philippines\scenedb folder that has the
word "Objects" in the filename.

If you find any errors in these files or instructions please send me an e-mail at:
