You might be wondering who I am... ( and then again, you probably couldn't care less)

My name is Mike, I live in the north suburbs of Dallas in Allen, Texas, USA, Earth, Solar System, Local (Chimney) Bubble, Orion Spur, Sagittarius Arm, Milky Way, Local Group, Virgo Cluster, Known Universe, Unknown Universe, Mote in the Eye of God.  My hobbies include 'stronomy (a  great family hobby and yes, I have a 'scope, a Celestron C8 S-GT); camping (another great family hobby and yes, we have a camper, a '99 Coleman pop-up) and wood working (yes, I have lots and lots of power tools).  Stay tuned, more on my hobbies later.

My wife's name is Linda, she is the "Light of My Life" (Mamita, te quiero con TODO mi corizon).  Linda and I enjoy camping a lot and since we just moved to Texas, we just sold our 36 acre private camping spot "in the middle of nowhere", Wisconsin (to the farmer next door, I wasn't even trying to sell it)   When we go camping, I take the 'scope and if the weather's nice we observe and watch for meteors and satelites.  Since we just joined the Texas Astronomical Society, we sometimes go camping at their "dark sky" campsite.  It's in "the  middle of nowhere" OOOOOOOO - kla - Homa ("where the wind comes whistlin' down the plain"), very dark there, excellent star gazing location.  One of the beautiful things about "dark sky" places is that they are also very, very peaceful and quiet.

Linda and I have been together for almost 15 years (seems like 15 minutes).  Between us we have 5 Children: Viktrola (short for Vicky), Gilly Bob Rockstar FJ (short for Gilbert), Raunchy (short for Veronica), Geener the Weener (short for Gina) and Tick Boy (short for Jeffrey).  I think that's in order, youngest to oldest.  Stay tuned, more about our children later.

We also have 9 Grandchildren (plus a “bun in the oven”)!

Youngest is Bert (Faith
Alberta), then

Butter Bean (Jenny Lynn), then
Chopper (short for Michael), then

Awesome (short for Austin), then

Sara Bell (short for Sarah Ashley), then

Buster (short for Jared Matthew), then

Bola de Mantequilla (short for Diamante Amor), then

Booger (short for Brittaney) and finally

Ash (short for Ashliegh), the oldest.

Yep, that's all nine of the little buggers!  Here's a picture of ALL NINE of the little boogers, Count ‘em, NINE!  Left to right, top to bottom they are: Diamante, Buster, Butter Bean, Sara Belle, Awesome, Bert, Ash, Booger, and of course Chopper!

Last but not least...
Oh yeah, I almost forgot, we have THREE puppies.  There's Pebbles, she's 12 years old and weighs about 65 lbs., and
there's
Chiefy, he's 8 years old and weighs about 75 lbs.  And lets not forget Stoney the Penguin, she’s about 8 months old and weighs in at about 45 pounds.   All three are just big, goofy lap dogs.  They go camping with us sometimes and they keep an eye on the Grand Kids when they are out playing in the yard.  Pebby, Chiefy and the Stoney-saurus love all children very much.  I pity the poor fool that tries to mess with the Grand Kids because Pebby, Chiefy and the Stone-Meister are AMERICAN PIT BULL TERRIERS and are very protective of the things they love.   Please don't misunderstand, these pups are very well behaved, well socialized and very friendly.   You need not fear Pebby, Chiefy or the Penguin if you are pure of heart and your intentions are honorable.  If you are NOT pure of heart with honorableintentions, however, that’s  to bad, 'cause then you're............ DOG CHOW!!
