Hi! Glad you could stop by. Come
on in & take a look around, but pardon the mess, I'm always re-arranging
& adding to my little cyber-nest, (& I'm learning as I go), so
I imagine there will be a few bugs
to work out, before everything is 'exactly' right, so watch your step!
Home & Family...
I live in a small, mountain area town, with my
Airedale Q (pronounced Key). I have a daughter, Sparkles, who no longer lives
at home. I was divorced over 21 years ago, but have a significant
other, Bert. We'll be celebrating 19 years together on Valentine's
Day 2001. I collect Teddy Bears, Dragons, Mice,
& Rosarys, & am always looking for something new or unusual, to
add to my collection(s).

July 5, 1997 Class Reunion |

At work...
I work for our county's Superintendent of Schools,
in Juvenile Detention. I'm the aide in the History class. We are
a year round school at a facility that houses 125 young men, ages 13-18
years. The boys are divided into two groups, A.M. & P.M.,
& are housed in 'barracks' located at opposite ends of the facility.
They go to school for half a day according to their group, & when not
in school, work various jobs that contribute to their upkeep & help
give them skills they can use 'on the outs'. And there is plenty
to choose from. A great deal of what they eat comes from the huge
garden, & the cows, chickens & pigs that are raised & bred,
provide meat, eggs, & milk. They pasteurize the milk & do
slaughter & butchering right on the grounds. One of the counselors
on staff is also a licensed meat inspector, so all is safe & edible!
If none of those jobs appeal to them, boys 15 & older, can request
to be put in one of our R.O.P. programs, & hope to be one of the lucky
14 (for each class), chosen to participate in either the Auto Shop or Construction
classes, where they begin to learn a trade. Or, if they prefer the
outdoors, they can work grounds & help keep the place looking
beautiful. Follow me for a gorgeous pictorial tour of Camp

Here's what we do for fun, on Halloween...the
boys can't go out, so we bring Halloween to them.
The teacher dressed as one of
our wards, I was a Black Widow.
At play...
In my 'down' time, you will find me reading---Sci-fi/Fantasy
mostly, with Anne McCaffrey, Stephen King, & Dean Koontz, being three
of my favorites. Watching tapes I make while I'm at work---I'm an 'All
My Children' soap fan, who has been watching since the show first began.
Or, playing on my computer, which was built 'specially for me by
Bert & his brother. Making web sites is my most favorite computer
pastime. In fact, I've made so many sites that my most recent
one is designed to keep all the addresses in one convenient place.
Check out my
Be Seen Pages for one stop access to all my sites (inc. message boards),
as well as some beautiful sunrise~sunset pics (& matching ICQ skins),
& the story of how I got my cyber-name (NOTE: Temporarily Unavailable. Host site closed & transfer to new site isn't complete. 3-17-01)
