Welcome To Camp!!!
Come on, let's take a tour of the grounds...
|
The Totem Pole was made by Camp wards. The plaque reads:
|
A Boy came to Camp in trouble & in the doghouse.
He had a burden of time on his back.
The sands of the hour glass flowed & soon it was time to be free
again.
With the diploma of knowledge, & wisdom of the owl, he returned
home a man.
|
|
The raccoons think we keep the goldfish in this pond just for them.
|
| An office with a view. This photo was taken
from the window at our Camp secretary's desk. She has one of the best views
on Camp, & is often entertained by the local wild life that come to
eat the goodies we leave for them. As you can see, not just the birds
enjoy the bird bath. |
| This is Baby guarding 'his' stash of p-nuts. Baby is one of the
3 young Blue Jays that frequent the lunch tables in hopes of treats.
Apparently the 'brains' in the family, Baby has waited until Toe &
his other sibling are chasing each other away from the table, to swoop
in & claim the stash for himself. |
| The aviary was built by the wards of Camp, & holds cockatiels,
parakeets, finch, & button quail. Here's a couple of the less
camera shy cockatiels. |
One of the 2 remaining peacocks that roam the grounds, showing off
his spring feathers. They love to 'show off', & compete for reflection
space here in front of the Science room windows.
It's a hoot to watch them strut along the wall, shaking their feathers
& preening for that 'gorgeous' bird they see in the windows.
I guess that's where the phrase 'Bird Brain' comes from! LOL! |
|
I never get tired of this beautiful view!
|
Well, this ends the Camp tour, as this path leads to the parking lot,
& if you've seen one, you've seen 'em all! LOL! Hope you enjoyed
the view!
