The previous M2M-star moved to Manhattan back in August and have had some very busy days with a lot of practice. -I didn't start to feel at home until aftter christmas. I do now, got new friends here and a greater handle on the everyday life, says Marion. The Lørenskog-girl even got to go on a skitrip with her new Norwegian friends. -But I miss norwegian food, salt liqouricce and my family. And stillness, I miss stillness, says Marion, while her band is packing their gear around her. New style It is soon three years since M2M was disolved, and childhood-friends Marion Ravn and Marit Larsen went their own way. The concert on wednesday is Marion's first gig with her new band. It was a long awaited preview for the album which is due this spring, one of the biggest project for Atlantic Records. And there were no doubt about the fact, that there was a new Marion up on stage, a confident version with rock and harder guitar sound and a much harder vocal. - I've been waiting two years to do thiss for you guys, said Marion Ravn, before she started singing the first song at the well known place to hold concerts, Knitting factory. The concert was an impulsive concert held for "buisness people" as a preview before the realease of the record. Marion played seven songs and even played a guitar solo for the audiance's big enthusiasm. During her very first concert held in New York, she wore a long hippiskirt, a black ungainly sweather and a lure smile. It was not much to see of <> who were promoted last autumn, where she were posing with the blunty look and the sexy badgirl-style. But she had enough with confidence and existence. Busy -I think this went very well, it was fun to play with my new band and my new songs, said a really content Marion to Dagbladet after the concert. She stand for both the lyrics and music on the new record, but have worked with the well disreputable Mötley Crüe - the bassist Nikki Sixx and the swedish songwriter Max Martin. -How is it with Love in New York? -I am so incredible busy at the moment, bbut have enough stories to write lyrics about. If you listen to my record, then you'll understand, yup, I really don't know what to say here, smiles Marion. Marion Ravn finished up the concert with a heartbreaking ballade alone by the Piano.
