| Built in 1981, Mighty Canadian Minebuster was one of the four roller coasters that debuted when Canada's Wonderland opened. It is a fast woodie with a long out and back track, uses two trains, with five cars holding six riders (in rows of two) each. The ride and its trains were built by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company. It is one of two wooden roller coasters at the park that are modelled after rides that existed at Coney Island amusement park in Cincinnati, Ohio (specifically the Shooting Star). It is Wonderland's longest wooden roller coaster and the second longest in Canada after Le Monstre at La Ronde in Montreal. Wonderland's water park, Splash Works, has two sets of slides that pass over the Mighty Canadian Minebuster. Ride Experience The Mighty Canadian Minebuster is a thrilling ride. It starts by going down a 90 foot lift hill which takes you through a large drop and numerous bunny hills that provide great airtime. After racing out to the far end of the track, you then perform a 180 degree turn and race back towards the station. Before coming to the station you go on an upwards helix through a tunnel and turn into the station house. The Mighty Canadian Minebuster is a fun ride that provides you with a ton of fantastic airtime. Other Information Colours: The track and supports are made of wood and the trains are yellow.
