| Behemoth is a steel roller coaster at Canada's Wonderland. Upon its opening on May 4, 2008, it became Canada's tallest and fastest hyper roller coaster. Behemoth is modelled similarly to Goliath at La Ronde and Nitro at Six Flags Great Adventure, but is be taller and longer. However, unlike the aforementioned B&M coasters, Behemoth features trim brakes near the crests of each of the large camelback hills as a means of regulating speed and airtime. The roller coaster is situated north-west of the Back Lot Stunt Coaster and south-west of Splash Works. On August 27, 2007 Behemoth was announced and revealed to be a roller coaster from Swiss manufacturers Bolliger & Mabillard. The estimated $26 million ride respresents the single biggest investment in the 27 year history of Canada's Wonderland, becoming the 15th roller coaster at the park. Behemoth's trains feature staggered seating, never before seen on a Bolliger & Mabillard roller coaster. Each of the three trains comprise eight cars, seating four guests each for a total capacity of 32. Riders are restrained by lapbars with no interlocking seatbelts into the fiberglass and steel trains. Behemoth opened to season pass holders on April 25, 2008 and to the general public on May 4, 2008. Ride Experience Coming soon.
