(Introduction- Two weeks ago, Cena's first, and to date only singles title run in the EMF was ended. One week later, he proved he was ready to get up and fight back, by winning a Triple Threat Tag Team Match against Dude Nick, Spalding, Kurt Angle and Legend Killer Ritch. The match ended with Cena doing what he's wanted to do for a LONG time, FU'ing the shit out of Dude Nick. In fact not only did he hit it once, but twice during that match! With Cena having settled up some old scores, whilst probably beginnig some new rivalries at the same time, he returns to singles action this week, and more importantly to him, Championship action. His opponent for this PPV is none over than Intercontinental Champion MDK, who has been Champion for some time now. Cena would love to prize the gold from him, and if he does, at the PPV it really will be the "Return of an Era"!)
(The scene opens. We are live at an EMF event. A dark match is about to get under way, when Revolution by Motorhead blasts out, and Cena, Rhyno and Trish emerge, holding Revolution's two championships. Cena is walking in front, followed closely by the other two. Cena takes a mic, and speaks to the 2 guys in the ring.)
Cena: "Is this a joke! Of all the people that these fans could be seeing.. you think they want to see YOU two go at it! In all my years in this company, i have never seen a match on a card that appealed to me less! Neither of you deserve to be taking air time away from the people these fans REALLY want to see, like John Cena and Revolution! Now you got 2 choices.. you can either go now, not have your crappy little match, and give these fans what they REALLY want! Or you can stay in the ring, and have a 5 second match before i get in there, FU the hell out of both of you and say what i gotta say anyway!"
(The two think about this, before running off through the crowd, abandoning thier match. Cena, Trish and Rhyno then enter the ring.)
Trish: "Yea you better keep running... or Revolution will kick your asses right out of this arena and do our bit anyway! Well fans, this is the time you've all been waiting for... because this is, not ONLY the time when you get to stare at, lets face it, everyones favourite Diva Trish Stratus! But it's also the time when you get to here from all the ladies favourite superstar.. John Cena! Last week, John Cena returned with a bang to his own natural winning ways when he defeated 4 other men, along with Rhyno of course, to capture a shot at the EMF Tag Team Championships! But whilst he has that on his horizon, he also has a very important match on PPv this week! Becuase this week in John Cena's oppertunity to capture his 2nd singles championship in the EMF! To get to it though he has to beat a long time champion in MDK! So of cousr, as for every week, i'm here to ask Cena his thoughts and feeling about his up coming match. My first qustion to you John is, how does it feel to lose a Championship, thn 2 matches lafter be givern a shot at another? Don't you feel a bit negative after defeat to Punisher?"
Cena: "Well, obviously everyone goes through some kind of low point when they lost a Championship. You wouldn't be human if you didn't. But people forget, i'm the Franchise player of the EMF! If anyone is going to bounce back from defeat and win his next match, it's Cena, and i proved that by not out wrestling one man, but by outwrestling FOUR men to pick up my win. I didn't hit one FU, but TWO FU's, and i was stuck in the Ankle lock for the best part of 5 minutes, and refused to tap again! What MDK needs to realise is, Punisher may have taken me down, but he did NOT take me out! That is something nobody will ever do, because it's just not possible. John Cena OWNS this federation through his ability. He has the greatest wrestling ability the world has EVER seen. And whilst he may have lost a couple of matches here and there, they were all for the right reasons! His defeat to Flair right back at the start it was due to the fact Cena needed to lose his 8 match unbeaten streak and concentrae on taking the risks needed to win an EMF Championship! And then when he took only his SECOND EVER singles defeat, it was because he had to get OUT of the TV Championship division, and move onwards and upwards to bigger and better things. The intercontinental Championship is the 2nd biggest belt in this federation, the champion will alwyas have the respect of the entire federation, unless it's someone like Michael De Kreek, who is simply a disgrace to that Championship Belt he carries. He won it, and he's kept it for all these months, simply because he REFUSES to defend it! But anyway, i'll get to that point later, coz Trish you asked me if i was feeling negative after defeat, well MDK, you can go into our match thinking the franchise wont be 100% because he's still suffeing from defeat.. by all means, let your guard down, underestimate my ability, and my condition, because that will be his error, and his downfall. if he even expects me to be 95% he will underestimate me enough to lose his beloved Championship, because 5% to John Cena is a HELL of a lot of ability, as i'm sure this federation, including MDK all know! De Kreek, you can by all means underestimate the Doctor of Thugonomics, but it will result in you losing your EMf Intercontinental Championship. So you had better believe that I, John Cena, will be giving it 200% in that ring, and i will do whatever it takes to walk out of there holding that championship. I've only been without my TV title for 2 weeks, but already I am feeling the stress of not being able tto call yourself a singles champion. Once you've had it, and lost it, it is worse than before you ever had it in the first place! But for me, that problem will be lifted after only 2 weeks, because i will replace my TV title with something much bigger, and much better, The IC belt, and when i do, the whole world will know Cena means business, and Cena is moving up in this federation! FOr a long time i was content on staying in the lower leagues, and beating all the little newbies as they got to a standered, but that's all past me now. I'm bored of doing that, and being seen as the lowest champion around here! So my plan is, to win a MUCH higher championship, and earn the resppect of all that doubted me, and all that thought the TV Championship was all i would ever amount to! Well this week is the week i prove all the people ever to doubt John Cena were wrong! Cena has formed what is today the most powerful stable alive in the EMF today! Cena was the longest reigning TV Champion in some time, and Cena will sonn end what is currently the reign of the longest EMF Champion, Michael De Kreek! His reign is the longest of all the current champions today, but soon it will come to an end at the hands of The Franchise, and MDK had better be ready to hand over that belt that no doubt he has become attached to recently, having sat and looked t it shining back at him for so long, but MDK, make the best of each and every moment.. because they are to be your last with that Championship. I remember when ifaced Big Pun, a part of me KNEW i could be losing my championship on that night, and so i had to say goodbye to it just as i handed it over to the referee. My advice to you would be to do exactly the same, because John Cena is NOT going to waste an oppertunity to win another singles championship! He's only EVER been beaten personally once in a championship match, and that was by someone a LOT more talented than Michael De Kreek, so there is no chance that John Cena will be using to anyone like MDK... what a joke! But as i said, to answer your question Trish, if MDK thinks he can catch John Cena off his guard and steal a win away from him, he had better re-think some things.. because John Cena refuses to walk out of "Return of an Era" and not let the Pay Per View live up to its name, because come the Pay Per View, it WILL be the Return of an era, the JOHN CENA ERA!"
Trish: "Ok John, so you WILL be 100%, but even if you are, surely you must respect the achievements of MDK so far even if its only a little bit? What is your opinion of the Intercontinental Champion?"
Cena: "Respect his achievements? When i came here, Michael De Kreek was one of two double champions in the federation. Himself and Neddie held the Tag Team Titles, and he was STILL Intercontinental Champion, along with Neddie being the newly crowned Tv Champion. However, Neddie soon lost a 2 out of 3 series to Denis, and when you lose 2 out of 3, you can have NO complaints. Denis was the better man, and a few weeks later, i proved that I was better than Denis himself, by taking that championship from him. That proved once and for all that MDK's tag partner Neddie at least, was beatable by myself, and although i never actually beat him, i knew i would be able to! Me and my partner at the time, Chaos.. saw MDK and Neddie as unbeatable, but me capturing the TV title which one of them had held.. made me realise that not just Neddie Guererro, but BOTH of the Tag Team champions were beatable! And that was soon proven true, when the Dangerous Alliance came along and beat MDK and his partner to take the Tag Team Championships! That showed me that the man i once respected so much and saw is unbeatable.. was actually very easily beaten, and was very much in my league. It showed me that if i put my mind to it, i could be the man to take his Championship from him! And deep down, i always knew that once i lost the TV Title, that would be where i ended up, fighting MDK for his IC belt. Unfortunately for him, i lost the TV Title sooner than i planned on it, and came knocking on his door before he had even started planning for me to be there. MDK panicked, and didn't want to let me in whilst his career was such a mess, and he was unable to fend off the attack i would soon lay down upon him! Right now, MDK is weak! I mean, he lost in a non-title match to, of all people... Dude Nick! Although he wil always have the excuse that Wes Ikeda distracted him with some useless music.. in my opinion, if you lose a match due to MUSIC being played, your not good enough to be a champion in this federation anyway! Music plays all the time in this federation.. and its NEVER distracted someone else out of a win. Ok sure its not normally there during a match.. but you should have been good enough to notice it, and get on with the job in hand, rather than being out wrestled, and then blaming your defeat on "Music"! What made me a decent Champion was, if i lsot, i would admit it, rather then going on and blaming it on any little thing i could find.. but MDK.. if someone had got into the ring, and for example.. FU'ed the hell out of you, you would have an excuse and someting to blame your defeat on! But somene plaing music makes no difference to you physically.. and you should still easily have been able to beat Dude Nick if you were a decent enough champion! But i've never heard such a bad excuse in all my days in wrestling.. and MDK, your whining only proved to me you are NOTHING! If i had any respect left for you, i lost it when you came up with such a shit excuse for defeat! You got out wreslted by a superior athelete.. and if only you could have come out here and admitted that, you would probably still have my respect. However, even if you did, it would not have made any difference.. because even if i respect someone, i'll still do whatever i can to kick their ass, as i'm sure Big Pun will tell you at some point! The whole world thought that would be a walk over, but i proved them all wrong. And this week, I will do it all again, when i show the entire world for sure that MDK is NOT World Championship quality as so many have said.. he isn't even Intercontinental Champion quality now that i have arrived looking for it.. because if i'm going to lose to anyone ever again, i will not do myself the disgrace of letting it be to MDK! Yuo see MDK, me and you have one vital difference.. when i was champion, i was a GOOD champion! I wasn't so god damn afraid of losing my championship that i went months on end refusing to defend it! I wasn't Champ for half as long as you have been, but when i was i went out of my way to find opponents who might stand a chance of beating me for the Championship, because i respected the title itself! It's had a lot of high profile champions in the past, and i felt honoured to hold it myself! I wanted the title to have the best possible champion, and so I defended it where and when i could! I took on Lion, Batista, Al Snow, Punisher and of course Wasabi for the championship! I wanted the best to beat me, and in the end i achieved that, and found my true successor as champion! However MDK, you had been champions for MONTHS before you even bothered to want to start defending your title. You ducked, dived and dodged your way around Championship defences, and tat's just low! YOu refused to give people a shot, coz you were so god damn scared that you wouldn't be good enough to retain it! Well MDK, you were right to fear losing it.. because come Return of an Era, you WILL lose it, and this shot cannot be dodged! whenever you were forced into defences you got EXTREMELY lucky and retained somehow... no body will ever know how you managed to defend that championship for such a long time, but this company needs a hero, it needs someone to SHUT YOU UP! YOu keep on going on out how long you've held your little championship.. but you've NEVER faced a real challenge for it... that is, until now. Because this Pay Per View is your time to either step up and become a legend, or else lose your championship! Because MDK, unless you haven't noticed, it takes a legend to defeat John Cena! And if Cena doesn't get beaten.. then quite often, John Cena ENDS careers in that ring! Not only did i pick off some of the EMF's low life like Lion and Chaos, but on top of that, i have ended the career of the great Wasabi, and ended the return of a great stable in DX! So MDK, what makes you so sure you can survive you Franchise? What makes you think you can beat me? What makes you think that this time you can keep your little title? Because MDK, whatevers going through your head, it's a load of bullshit! Because MDK, although you will not know it, this is your turn to feel what it's like to lose a title, and this is your turn to suffer at the hands of the Doctor of Thugonomics! Do i respect MDK's acievements... what achievements? Holding the Tag Titles for a little while and winning and not defending the IC belt? No, I do NOT respect that! And what is my opinion of MDK? Well he thinks he's so amazing because he knows all these big EMF superstars and they all cling together and hope to help eachother out... but it wont help you MDK! They wont help you, because MDK, they and the entire Fed... HATE you! Everyone is sick and tired of you running your mouth about how your a good champion.. when everysingle person know you are not! We are ALL sick of you walking around with that title, and no body here can wait to see you lose it! And then once again Revolution will hold 3 titles, and the Tag Titles will mean we hold over half of them! Then we would only have to take the World and TV titles away from the Dangerous Alliance to emulate the achievements of the great wWo, and hold EVERY championship in the EMF! BUt that plan is long term, short term I plan on completely destroying MDK, and claiming gold, coz lets face it... John Cena without gold is just not right! Since I lost the TV title, something has not felt right. That something is the fact that i'm the Franchise player here, but not carrying a Championship belt. I got so used to having one, but now i don't, and the image just uisn't right. Revolution come out here, but their leader doesn't hold a title? I NEED to hold a championship, it's what my life is all about, and come shockwave, i will once again have one! MDK, that is a promise.. and what John Cena promises, John Cena delivers... always! I promise to strip you of the burden of holding the Intercontinental Championship, to relieve you of all the pressures a championship carries, coz lets face it, you can't cope.. so MDK, i WILL take the IC belt from you, and i WILL cope with all of it a damn site better than you have been!"
Trish: "Well, thats about the lowest opinion you've givern of someone for quite a while... ok my 3rd question to you is, have you been impressed by MDK's recent form, or recent matches?"
Cena: "Well, recently MDK has done the STUPIDEST thing i've EVER seen a champion do! MDK announced that anyone and EVERYONE that asks him for a title shot gets one! And he thinks that makes him a great champion.. he's had a few title defences in the last few weeks.. but MDK, lets take a look at who you successfully beat for the title... Batista... Dewey Pond... yea, your letting people challenge you.. but until you beat a REAL superstar, it means NOTHING! I've faced Dewey Pond many a time, really he's a John Cena wannabe! He can't hold championships so he settles for losing free shots. He can't get a gorgeous woman like Trish Stratus, so he settles for getting engaged to the ugliest Diva the emf has EVER seen! Hell, Dewey's not just a Cena wannabe.. he's a DUDE NICK WANNABE! Nick had the gorgeous Christy, and traded her for the even more gorgeous Torrie Wilson... and he EARNT an Intercontinental Championship match! Dewey Pond wishes to be like the man i FU'ed twice in one night and pinned 1... 2.. 3... so beating him proves NOTHING MDK. And then there's Batista! Donkey Kong himself! Beating a Nintendo charector is not a great achievement. I mean, would you be happy to pin Super Mario? Or a Pokemon? I can see it now.. MDK VS Pikachu for the IC championship... would winning that be a great achievement De Kreek? You brag like hell about giving oppertunities to anyone that wants them.. but so far you've beaten somethig that grows on the floor of a swimming pool and a barrel throwing gorilla! This is your first REAL text, John Cena! Cena actually has a history of winning matches, and winning a championship! Dewey and Batista probably haven't won a match between them! I, however, have only EVER lost twice one on one, and have NEVER been the man pinned in a tag team match! I'm by far above ALL your other Intercontinental Championship opponents put together! Your recent achievements mean even less than your other achievements throughout your career... i mean, you were a better champion during your months of not defending, then you are now that you are beating complete newbs and bragging about how great you are for doing so! That Championship has been completely disgraced by you MDK! You are the WORST Intercontinental Champion in the history. That belt has had some GREAT champions in the past like X-Cold, Triple H, HBK, Road, Punisher... the list is infinate, and then there are probably some REALLY bad IC champions.. but I cannot name anyone who has made a worse Intercontinental Champion than you! You are a disgrace to that championship, and a disgrace to the federation! This federation is MY federation, I am the most important part of it! Not only do i own the biggest and best stable of them all, but I will be the future World Champion, and the future BEST wrestler in the EMF! I am this federations future, and for that reason, NOBODY can afford to get on the wrong side of me. Because this federation NEEDS to keep Cena happy. Whatever Cena wants, Cean gets, as i've said before, but MDK that's my warning to you, if you somehow steal a win over me, and piss me off, don't think i wont find a way to get reenge, and add your name to the LONG list of careers ended by John Cena! When i came here, people said you were the future.. but you have developed into NOTHING, and all the while, John Cena has been improving, and has now over taken you! Cena is now the future, and Cena is now the key link in this federation! The EMF without Cena would be like WWE without Triple H, he is their diamond, but to the EMF, I am so much more! The EMF may hav some top stars now, but Punisher and angelus and the like will not be aorund forever.. soon it will be Cena's time to shine, and when it is, the world will realise that everything i've ever said is true, and that i AM the greatest thing EVER to happen to this, or any other federation! MDK, if you think you can get in the way of the dream, you've got anoither think coming. You can't beat me.. because.. YOU CAN'T SEE ME! In fact, nobody in this federation can see me, i'm so far above them all! If that asshole Spalding hadn't got into my ring, Punisher would NEVER have beaten me! I was distracted by hitting the FU on Spalding too much to concentrate on putting away Punisher, and whilst it was an unexperianced mistake, I do not regret it! Because that mistake enables me to move onwards and upwards, from the world of Al Snow, Batista and Spalding to the world of... well... Al Snow, Batista and Spalding. Only, once i am champion, that will all change. Because i will scrap this stupid "Anyone can challenge" shit, and only people that EARN their shots will be givern them, meaning it will becoem the division i should be, with top level competitors competing for the second biggest prize in Sports Entertainment. The belts value has gone way down since MDK has been champion, and that title needs rescuing. The man to do that is me. I took a lowly belt like the TV title, and got someone as hih up as Punisher interested in it, because i was THAT GOOD a champion! I nailed the FU, the most unstopable move in the world, on ANYONE and EVERYONE that dared get into the ring with me, and i beat ALL of them! MDK, it takes me only a couple of seconds to nail an FU, and when i do, that will be the end of your title reign.. just.. like.. that! And when it is, you can go home and cry to all your little friends about how John Cena kicked your ass.. or you can do what i did so well, and bounce back and get straight on a title hunt again! However MDK, i doubt you are capable of that.. it takes something special... sometihng like... ME! MDK, i highly doubt you have what it takes to get back on your game after losing that title you depend on so much. But to return to your question Trish... MDK's recent achievements are NOTHING! He's beaten a couple of nobodies and retained his title, because he's too scared of fighting a REAL man! But at "Return of an Era", not only will it be the return of the Cena era.. but it will be the END of an era, the MDK era, and there will be nobody who is sorry to hear that! No body in this whole federation gives a shit about you MDK. Everybody is SICK of hearing you run your mouth week in, week out, about nothing in particular. You go around and you call yourself the "Greatest Intercontinental Champion" of all time, and your basis for that is you had 3 title defences in 3 weeks and came out with the title? Man, you were facing the two guys i've already pointed out are nothing.. and Booker T. These guys don't belong in the major leagues, they belong outside recycling the litter thrown about by our fans! MDK's recent achievements mean aboslutely nothing to anybody! He's beaten 3 newbies, and thinks that makes him the best champion in history! If i was IC Champ, i wouldn't be seen dead in the ring with such low life scum. John Cena is a true champion, and a champion who wants to face REAL opponents. There are men on this roster REALLY worthy of an IC Championship match, but none more so, than John Cena! And once i beat you for th Champinoship De Kreek, i'm gonna take on the man you are scared to face for your title, Wes Ikeda, and i'm gonna end his dream of being a grandslam champion, unlike i did to Punisher, i WILL stop Ikeda, and I WILL officialy be THE greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time! MDK, you will NOT beat me this week based on your recent, nor your all time achievements! You are one FU away from having your long reign as champion ended, and you will finally see what a TRUE IC champion looks like, and will finally see that once you face a REAL challenge, you will no longer be the champion you think you deserve to be! MDK, enjoy the next few days, because with that champioship at least, they will be your last!"
Trish: "Very well put Cena. Ok to move away from MDK for a bit, but to still stay on the topic of this promo, what changes will occur to the IC division once you are the Intercontinental Champion?"
Cena: "Well obviously first and most importantly, the one biggest change will be that the Intercontinental Championship will finally have a champion it to just it justice once again! As i said earlier, that title has had a LOT of major champions, but MDK can never, and will never go down as one of them! Unlike John Cena! John Cena came here, and right away was tipped for greatness. Everyone in the locker room knows that all there is standing between John Cena and the World Championship is time, but for now, I will settle with proving myself a contender for the IC belt, and for proving myself CHAMPIONSHIP quality once again! I may have lost the TV Championship, but that doesn't mean i am no longer Title quality, and that is one thing i will prove to everyone by defeating De Kreek this week.But the division will have one major difference, in that John Cena is not going to be a champion to run and hide from the big guns who want his title. He will go out there and fight, and if he loses the championship, he will get up, and come back stronger than ever, ready to take another championship when the time is right! MDK however relies so much on his one little Intercontinental Championship, that he will not be able to do that! But the title deserves a true champion! Someone who will not e scared to defend it againt REAL superstars. Your only facing me MDK, because you HAVE to. When you put out your little challenge to take on anyone that wanted the shot, you were only expecting bottom tier superstars to step up, ones you could thrash down without moving a muscle. But no, i found a way to give myself a shot, a little loop hole, because when you challenge ANYONE, you were not expecting a challenge from someone as high up the roster as John Cena now were you? You are probably sitting at home right now, watching this, and shaking with pure terror as you know that the man you are seeing right now, THIS is the man who will come "Return of an Era" FINALLY end the era of MDK, and strip you of the Intercontinental Championship. You see, that title and this federation NEEDS a champion like John Cena. I'm the man that keeps the fans pouring in. I'm the man that sells the tickets. I'm the man that ensures this company can afford to go on paying the wages of all it's top level superstars, because without me, it's franchise player, ticket sales would drop, the company would lose money faster than DX split up, and the whole company would sink into a black hole before disapearing completely. Everyone around here's existance NEEDS the Doctor of Thugonomics, and i'm more than happy to bust my body open week in, week out to keep my fans happy. But to do that, John Cena has to be kept happy. And to keep John Cena happy, John Cena needs to be kept with a championship! Now i lost my last one, yea i accept that, but it needs to be replaced by something bigger, and something better! The World Championship would be ideal, but having seen what Angelus Archr did to Dude Nick recently.. i think i will stay away from that for a while, not that i am scared of Angelus but i don't want my perfect body marked by some crappy little signature! Also, what with The Rock and whoever else getting a World Title shot this week, i can't compete for that! Meaning the next best thing to settle for is the IC belt. But dont't anybody think i am going to waste this oppertunity, because it's simply not happening! The Intercontinental Championship needs someone to rescue it from the clutches of MDK, someone to take it to new heights, someone to be a GREAT champion. It needs someone who is not afraid to defend it, and someone who will give REAL people a shot. Someone who will one day scale to new heights in this federation, and someone who can and will make a name for himself. Someone big, someone the fans LOVE, someone fresh who nobody is bored of, but who can be champion for as long as he likes with no one becoming bored of him! Someone with enough people around him to keep the title around his waist. Someone who is a natural born leader, and so can lead the IC division onwards to better things. Someone who can set a standered that everyone else has to try and match. Someone with such a natural in ring talent, that everyone else is forced to stand and stare in disbeleif, and is amazed everytime he is in the ring! There is nobody, and i mean NOBODY in this federation that fits that discription better than i do! For God sake, people think John Cena is too unexperianced? They think i'm dreaming? Well i challenge ANYONE, and i mean ANYONE back there to truthfully say the same thing once i've been in the ring with MDK this week. If i win, you will all see that Cena is the major league player he claims to be! And if somehow MDK cheats his way to victory, you will all see that John Cena is, without a shadow of a doubt, the better athelete, and that he just got so god damn unlucky in that ring! There is not way MDK will out wrestle me, and no way that MDK can beat me fair and square! By "Return of an Era" everyone will see that I, John Cena, am the superior athelete of the two, and even if by some miracle i'm not walking out with that championship, you will know who DESERVES to be the Champion. You will all see that the Interontinental Championship BELONGS around the waist of John Cena! You willall see that MDK is NOT the great champion he claims to be, and that he is nothig but a little boy who captured a championship, and was too scared of the real men of this business to defend it! MDK is in WAY over his head when it comes to the IC belt, I mean think of all that pressure on him.. he's not cut out for this.. he's not cut out for JOHN CENA! I mean, MDK may well have had the title a LONG time, but can anyone name one superstar with ANY skill that he has taken on? Can anyone name a cuperstar with ANY experiance that he has defended his title against? Can ANYONE name a superstar to ever win a high profile match before that MDK has retained the Intercontinental Title against? The answer to all these questions is NO! Coz when the big boys from the elite league come calling.. MDK goes running, and that is why he will NEVER amount to ANYTHING in this business. I mean, when Josh Hanley took a break for a bit, which might i add, he had earnt by going through the elimination chamber and being one HELL of a World Champion, everyone backstage said to me "Don't worry about the World Title division, because MDK will step up and make it competitive in Hanley's absence!" My God.. what were they taking when they said that? Michael De Kreek as World Heavyweight Champion? HA. At the time, part of me believed it.. but now.. my God, where they all blind? MDK has less talent thanany champion i have EVER seen grace the EMF's name. How he has held that title so long, i'll never know. But one thing is for certain, his reign is jsut a matter of days away from being OVER! So as for how will the division change.. it will have a much better and much more talented champion, and much better and much more talented contenders for the title! MDK, you and everyone else knows that this Pay Per View was created for Cena, the John Cena era is about to return, and it is going to be better than ever before, and unfortunately for you.. your the first victim of it's return! So MDK, watch and re watch my match from last week.. coz in it are 2 prime examples of what you will be tasting come next week.. the FU! And when it's hit, you, like all it's other victims will fall to it, and be covered 1... 2... 3, and there will be a NEW EMF Intercontinental Champion at god gamn last! And if there is ANYONE, and I mean ANYONE, that wants to argue with that, I challenge them to show their faces come Return of an Era, because i will take them down as well! But i'm sure there will be no one, coz nobody would want to save De Kreek, no one would want to see him walk out of ANOTHER PPV with that title, and no body will want to here is shit about being the greatest ANY MORE!"
Trish: "Well put hun, ok, my 5th question to you is, what happens if, and i know it's a BIG if, but IF Michael De Kreek retains his championship at "Return of an era?"
Cena: "HA, now your joking right? If MDK retains his title? Of course he wont retain it! MDK has absolutely no chance in hell of defending it. But if by some fluke, some.. miscarraige of justice, he picks up a shock win, then John Cena will do what he always does, take each match as he comes, get up, bounce back, and re-challenge when the time is right! But i must ask , how the hell is De Kreek gonna beat me? I made a point to Kurt Angle last week, and i re-illustrated it in the ring with him last week! I said i was unbeatable by pinfall or submission, and God Damn it its true! Angle had than Angle lock locked in on me for AGES, just like back in the WWE, but i point blank refused to tap, jsut as i ALWAYS would! I have never tapped out, and i NEVER will. In fact, only ONE legal move has ever made me lie down for 3 seconds, and that was the Capital Punishment. And needless to say, that move deals a LOT mroe damge than "Downstream".. what kind of name is that for a finisher? That aint got no class, like the FU, now that's a classy name for a move! Downstream sounds like the worst finisher in the history of the company.. and one i can kick out of with absolutely no effort! YOu could nail it 10 times in succession, and i'd still role my shoulder up even before the referee counted 1. MDK, if you think you are pinning me and retainnig your title, you got another thought coming! Also if you think i'm going to tap out to you, you can forget it! I will NEVER submit to ANYONE as long as i live! John Cena is not a quitter, no matter how mcuh pain you inflict on him! And last week i more than proved that! But MDK, that's more than can be said for you! You would probably submit at the first sign of trouble from anyone! One little text book headlock and you'd go screaming liek a baby and submitting! And when you do that, i WILL be the next IC champion! But i know what your thinking.. you can win this match WITHOUT pinning me or making me submit! You don't HAVE to beat me, rather, I HAVE to beat you! Well yes MDK, that much is true! You could get yourself DQ'ed or counted out, and retain that championship! But don;t think it will be that easy! See if you smash me round the back of the head with a chair this coming Pay Per View, there will be no bell ringing for a DQ, coz whoever is refereeing my match, i REFUSE to let you disqualify MDK, because whatever he does, whatever weapon or cheating tactic he employs, i will kick out, and go on to walk away with the Championship! And also MDK, if you even DREAM of running away like a little girl and getting counted out, i've got Revolution here to come out and chuck your ass back into the ring for the FU and the defeat! So Earl Hebner or whoever is in charge of my match with MDK, if you even DREAM of ending my IC dream by disqualifying him, it will be YOU taking an FU in his place! I don't WANT to win via DQ, because i knoe that no mater how many cheap and dirty stunts MDK pulls, John Cena will be able to kick out, ready to nail him with the FU and pick up the win! Though, only a cowardly champion would result to using weapons in a standered match.. though i could understand it MDK! Your AFRAID of John Cena, and you and everyone else knows that you are! You are scared the John Cena will end your run as Champion, and will out shine you, and be a BETTER champion than you ever were! You are scared of doing all you can to cheat, but STILL losing the Championship. You are scared of the world seeing there is an athelete who is superior to you in the world! Though everyone already knows there are many of them! And MDK don't worry, because if at any time you even LOOK like getting the better of me... there is always Revolution, watching and waiting.. ready to strike you at any moment! How abut a nice Gore for your troubles Michael? That would be nice wouldn't it.. your just about to retain when out of nowhere you get gored by the man beast and your title dream ends like that! Did you see Kettleburg last week, or Spalding even? Both men fell victim to the Gore, and neither of them stirred once it was nailed! But there is of course, one move that has more effect... and that involves someone being lifted on to someone elses shoulders, before bing slammed hard, with impact, iinto the mat! And when that move hits, nobody.. and i mean NOBODY ever gets up from it! Dude Nick was saved from it once last week, but not twice... oh no... because 2 FU's and your lucky to be ALIVE! Just ask Dude Nick, he will tell you! There is no way he can be 100% going into his little grudge match with Spalding, more like 50%, if he's lucky, after the carnage i inflicted onto him! I nealry killed another career.. but i DID kill 2 stables! Evolution became a one man band, and DX fell away completely! Both stables were asking questions, about why they had to lose to Revolution... simply because we are THE BEST this federation has to offer! With talent like the talent that i have, i can beat ANYONE! And what i did last week, was, along with Rhyno, i evnded the career of the 2nd and the 3rd major stables this company has to offer! And if that match had had more teams in it.. hell of it had had ALL the teams in it, the outcome would still be the same, because John Cena is the Franchise, and Rhyno is the man beast, and NOBODY is beating that combination! But this isn't about Revolution, this is about ME and YOU De Kreek! All i'm saying is, don;t get cocky in that ring, because Revolution can ALWAYS turn the tables if they are going against them! I ordered them not to interfere againt Punisher, but that was because i wanted to prove once and for all who was the better athelete, that didn't happen thanks to Spaldng, but MDK, against you it's not the same.. because the WORLD knows i'm better than you, i have NOTHING to prove, and so i don;t care if Revolution get involved and help me score the win, because even if they do, it will be one i deserved! So i don't care HOW i pick up the win, only that i do, and so to answer your question Trish, i'm not even thinknig about that.. because there is no way that MDK can defeat me! I'm the greatest athelete EVERto step between the ropes and into and EMF ring! I've ALWAYS, sonce day one, been the Franchise here, and that MDK is something you can only DREAM of emulating one day! Now i don't know whether i want to FU the hell out of you once... twice.. or go for my own record and make it THREE times on one night! But one thing is for sure, you WILL take the FU, and you WILL be beaten! you will feel what it's like to be beaten by the greatest young talent EVER to grace the EMF ring. There has NEVER been a talent so hyped up by the greatest atheletes in the federation before he'd even won a title! When i won the TV title, the whole world knew that was just the beginning! Well, as i've always said, John Cena is climbing a long laddr to Angelus Archer and the World Title. The next step up would be the Extreme Championship, but that is already occupied by Revolution and so i have no interest in it. So the next rung up from that, would be the Intercontinental Championship! I'm skipping a rung, and heading straight for that! I'll come back and claim the Extreme after a while, if, if and ONLY IF both myself and Rhyno lose our championships... if not, then Angelus Archer you had better watch your step.. because come "Return of an Era", i'll only be one rung away from you! But this isn't about you Archer, not yet at least! This is about me jumping 2 runs upwards, and staking a claim to one day break into your division. My dream has always been to be wrodl Champion, and MDK, you are a stepping stone towards me making that dream a reality! At first, i stepped carefully, rock to rock, making sure i didn't get out of my league. BUt now i'm ready to take the risk, and jump, hoping to get there that much quicker. Either i will fall and plumit into the water, and be left with nothing, or else, my feet will touch down on the land, my championship will be handed to me, and I will be just one small step away from what i NEED! THe World Heavyweight Championship!
Trish: "Ok i have one final question for you. So, are you saying that this match with MDK isn't about the IC title, and is in fact only about proving to Prez Mike and the others that you are ready for the big time, like the World Title?"
Cena: "Well i don't pretend to be ready for the World Title just let, after i win the Intercontinental, I am still going to need that one final push to make it there. But in a way, this match is for me about getting closer to this federations top prize! Obviously EVERYONE wants to be World Champion, and if they don't then they don't belong here. But for me, this isn't mainly about getting closer to that gold, altohugh that is a nice aspect of going up against MDK, it is also about regaining a championship. Because, try as i might, i cannot get rid of this empty feeling that has gotten to me since i lost my Television Championship! When you hold a title and lose it, you feel like shit for ages afterwards. However, i have a chance to end this pain early, after only 2 weeks. Because I, John Cena, am about tobecome the greatest Intercontinental Champion the WORLD HAS EVER SEEN! and then i will look down on the entire federation and utter the words "YOU CAN'T SEE ME" because I will be so far above everyone else, having ended the career of the longest running IC champion in YEARS. However, it's only good being on a long run if you ACTUALLY DEFEND IT.. but i've gone into that already. But MDK, when i see you in that ring, you had better PRAY that John Cena is in a good mood, because if he isn't, he will quite literally take you to hell and back in the ring, before FU'ing you, to fianlly end your pain and suffering! When the referee's hand comes down for the 3rd time and he hands me MY Intercontinental Championship, you will be so God Damn relieved, and what will be gonig through your little head is not "Oh no.. it's all over" but "Oh my God, at last the pain Cena is putting me through will be stopped"! You will feel pain like never before, and you will suffer the worst fate. Imagine the worst Nightmare you ever had.. when you've been in the ring with me, you would rather go through that in real life then a rematch with The Doctor of Thugonomics! Because MDK, i'm the one Doctor in this world that when i'm finished with you, you will need to go and see 100 more of them, just to survive! I'm gonna beat you to within an inch of your wortheless existance, and then let you recover just enough.. so i can FU the hell out of you without killing you! You step into that ring with me, and you leave yourself open. If i did what i will do to you outside the ring, i'd face a LENGTHLY prison sentance for assault or GBH, but as i said before, inside that ring, there are no laws, and no boundaries to the torture i can inflict upon you. All the millions of Thugomaniacs watching world wide will whitness suffering like NEVER before, and they will LOVE every second of it. And the fans lucky enough to have tickets for "Return of an era", when they are standing up and CHANTING MY NAME!!! (Crowd begin the Cena chant yet again..) they are gonna feel so God Damn privilaged to be witnessing your demise first hand. Everytime i pick you up and NAIL the FU they are gonna roar their lungs out, and everytime i shout "YOU CAN'T SEE ME!!!" They are gonna jump off their seats in appreciation! And MDK, you will know what so many others in this federation know.. you will know what Punisher knows, what Angelus knows, what Wasabi knows... you will FINALLY know what it is like to have the THOUSANDS of fans in the EMF ALL cheering AGAINST you. You see MDK, i AM the fans FAVOURITE EMF superstar and EVERYBODy knows it! I am the one they all want to win, and the one they all chant for! I am the one they come to see! MDK, there is NOTHING in this world like stepping into the ring with Cena,because it's not one on one, it's not even 3-on-1 coz of Revolution, it is 50,000-on-1 because the WHOLE God damn crowd is gonna be ROARING me on, and i thrive off their cheers. When your that hated by 50,000 fans, you are not gonna be on your game champ... and if your not on your game, its all over for you! Just one mistake... ONE mistake, and you will be in FU city, and your title reign will be dead and buried deep in the ground! John Cena takes no prisoners, either people lie down easy, and survive, or they carry on battling their little hearts out... and GET HURT! The choice is yours MDK, but if you actually put up half a fight for your title, John Cena will HURT you and take it anyway. I mean, you could just get in the ring, and lay down and lose your Championship... but that would be too smart for you De Kreek. I know your gonna go out there beleiving you can win... and you will give it whatever you got... but it will NOT be enough! i've seen you at work many times, and you've NEVER done anything to impress me! I mean... where were you last week on Shockwave Michael? You didn't even BOTHER to show up. Because you simply were not considered important enough to be on the card, OR to get an invite. Angelus and Punisher were not on the card, but they were still invited because they are IMPORTANT. John cena was considered important enogh to compete! In fact, every champion and every contender was in action... EXCEPT YOU! Because MDK, you are NOTHING to this company, and you are a NOTHING champion! And soon, MDK, you wont even BE a champion.You have never faced a challenge like this MDK... and i'll make Return of an Era a night you NEVER forget! But Trish, you asked me if i saw this match as just another step to the World Title. Although i see it as that n a larger scale, this is also a chance for revenge! You see, i've faced MDK once before, but him and Webber managed to beat Kurt Engle, my partner, meaning i failed to get my hands on the championships! Everyon knows that John Cena WANTS and NEEDS the Tag Team Championships at some point, and the sooner the better. You ended a dream for Cena on that night, and i damn sure wont let it happen again! Yuo denied me a championshi once, it WONT happen again. You didn't beat Cena that night, you beat the now almost dead Kurt Engle, because you COULD NOT beat Cena! In fact in tag team action, Cena has NEVER been the man beaten! And he has only EVER been beaten on 2 occasions EVER! You couldn't pin me that night, and you can't at the Pay Per View, because John Cena is untouchable, but if you want to try your luck... if you want some... COME GET SOME! I guess i'll be seeing you on Pay Per View! Word Life!"
(Cena raises his hands in a taunt, and grabs Trish and looks to leave. However all of a sudden, in stead of Revolutions Theme hitting. No. 1 by Nelly blasts and Dude Nick and Torrie Wilson walk out onto the ramp!)
Jr: "Oh my god its Dude Nick, Business has picked up!"
King: "He must have a deathwish, he couldn�t beat them with Spalding, hed never do it on his own."
Jr: "Dude Nick obviously wants some revenge for what went down last night... Cena nailed Nick with the FU not once, but twice, on his way to pinning him and earning a shot at the tag titles!"
King: "Nick must want to settle a score with Cena and Revolution here tonight... but why drag poor Torrie into this?"
(Cena, Rhyno and Trish look look pissed off at this new arrival. Nick and Torrie enter the ring and come face to face with Cena and Rhyno.Torrie and Trish then step back a bit, and the males stare each other down. It looks like Dude Nick raises his hand, ready to punch one of them, when all of a sudden Dude Nick starts smiling, as does Cena and Rhyno, The fist turns into a handshake as Dude Nick Shakes Cena�s hand, and then shakes hands with Rhyno. Torrie and Trish hug eachother and also begin smiling.)
Cena: "Ladies and Gentlemen, as you will all remember, Revolution's roots as a stable were all about John Cena taking lower rated superstars, and turning them into stars for the future. I always scouted the biggest and best potential superstars, and made them into wrestling CHAMPIONS! And these ladies and gentlemen are two superstars with a LOT of potential. Dude Nick has shown some GREAT skills, and has won a lot of matches. Also, Torrie Wilson may not have stepped into a ring yet, but i've seen her in action in training, i scouted her, for more reasons than one... i'm joking Trish, and i know she has a lot of potential in the ring as well. Therefore, i have recruited BOTH of them into my stable, ready to evolve them into Revolutionary superstars! So ladies and Gentlemen, may I please introduce to you.. Revolutions two newest members, Mr Dude Nick and Miss Torrie Wilson!"
Dude Nick: "Thank you thank you, thank You. I bet no one saw this coming. I've said many times before that it's time for the losing to stop and the winning to begin, but this time, its for REAL! I want a change. I want to start winning things! Well to be a winner, you have to be WITH with the winners. And there are no bigger winners in this company than John Cena, the boss of the greatest Stable in the EMF's history, and his 2 pupils, Extreme Champion Rhyno and Women's Champion Trish Stratus! I went up to Cena like a man, and told him that, and he told me Revolution was the place for me. He said he was scouting my potential already, and it was about time he recruited new member to strengthen the number of his stables. Angle you begged and pleaded to be in Revolution. And they turned you away like a double glazing salesman trying to flog you new windows, and to be honest I don�t really blame them. Revolution are an elite team, and they only want the best, that�s why they want me! I have the potential to be a great in this fed, and if anybody knows potential, it's this man, my new boss.. JOHN CENA! Revolution is the pedestal for me to show you all that I can be great, and for my rise to greatness! But before I go for gold with Revolution, Spalding your time is upon you, and your end is near! Come "Return of an Era" it wont only be the return of the Cena era, but the end of the Saplding era.. because Spalding.. i'm going to MAKE YOU FAMOUS!"
Trish: "Ok well just quickly before we go John, can i ask you, what differece do you think Dude Nick and Torrie are going to make to Revolution, and to your match this week with MDK?"
Cena: "Well, it's all about numbers in this federation Trish. Did you notice how dominent the wWo were at one stage... and they had loads of members! The more members Revolution gets, the stronger it will be. But i just want to make damn clear to everyone that we are not recruiting for anymore right now! But MDK now has another male to worry about.. and another female if he was at all worried about them! As i said before, if MDK tried to cheat and get himself counted out... well now he has another 2 people ready to throw him back in for the FU! What Micheal De Kreek needs to realise is, thatin terms of superstars, I have 5, he has 1... and although any involvement from any of you would get me disqualified... I can say that if the referee should "accidently...." be taken out of things for a while, a brawl could well be a possibility! i mean, before he had the Gore and FU to worry about, but now the DudeMeister as well.. it's not looking good for Mr IC champion now is it! But the numbers benefit Cena in so many ways... and when i am IC champion, in my future title defences I will have the advantage of having these guys to back me up and ensure the title stays around my waist! Revolution have always wanted ALL the gold, and the IC belt is another one to add to the collection. And that is another advantage handed to me by Dude Nick here, because when John Cena out grows the IC belt, and wants the WORLD title, he will have not one, but TWO people now to choose from as to who to pass the IC belt on to. And then, myself, Rhyno and my newest pupil nick, when he's evolved into a prime athelete, can each hold one of the 3 major championships, and myself and Rhyno will be tag champs, Trish the women's and whoever else Cena sees as good enough to join me will hold the TV title! Revolution is Evolving quickly into the greatest stable the EMf has ever sen, and with it, John Cena is evolving into the GREATEST ATHELETE the world has ever seen! But the greatest athelete NEEDS a championship! And the only man standing between him and what he wants is Michael De Kreek! MDK, you cannot stop fate! It is my FATE to win the Intercntinental Championship, HELL, it is my DESTINY! The TV title was a title I lost because i was destned for something further up, something that the division of beating up Newbies couldn't deliever. I was ready for the MAJOR leagues, and here i am, ready to take what is rightfully mine, the EMF Intercontinental Championship! And then, after I do, I will take the Tag Team Titles from the Dangerous Alliance, and then EVERYONE will know that the John Cena era is here, and that more importantly.. THE CHAMP IS HERE! MDK, you said last week that to be a veteren in this company, you had to know what it is like to win and lose! Well, Cena most certainly nkows that.. but someone who knows a hell of a lot about losing, is YOU MDK! Well, at least you will come "Retun of an Era", because you will be FU'ed so hard into the ground that you will probably lose your next 10 matches, just off the injury i'd inflict on you! You wont be 100% for a LONG time after being in the ring with me! You said you were 50% before you faced Dewey Pond 2 weeks ago, well i hope your little break enabled you to get your condition up a BIT higher than that... because unless you are well and truely 100% ready to take on the Franchise, you will be leaving without something you've grown attached to... your Intercontinental Title! And lets face it, what is MDK without that championship? He is NOTHING! Absolutely NOTHING! that Championship is all you have going for you in your life! I mean, you can't even get a HOT EMF Diva to interview you, you have to get people like Michael Cole... though, i suppose Cole and you do EVERYTHNIG me and Trish do huh.. i've always seen you as.. playing for that team so to say! But anyway, enough said about MDK, lets get over to the bar for a PARTY guys! Nick, Torrie, allthats left for me to say is welcome to the team.. and to you MDK.. see you at the pay per view where for me it realy will be.. the "Return, of an Era!" WORD LIFE!"
(REVOLUTION by Motorhead blasts out, and Cena and Trish pose together, as do Nick and Torrie. The 2 Revolution couples kiss, before exiting the ring along with Rhyno. Cena and Rhyno say something to eachother, and begin laughing. They and Trish go off in front, with Cena and Trish hand-in-hand. Torrieand Nick trail just behind, also hand-in-hand as the scene fades, and Revolution disappear behind the curtain.)
