Hello to Miss James' class from the Aylesworth family!
Kid Koala came back to visit just in time to go on summer vacation with us. Our first stop on our trip was Maine. We visited our friends who live there. One day, we took a ferry boat from Portland, ME to an island called Peaks Island. The ferry boat took cars, as well as people, across Casco Bay to the island.
The beaches in this part of Maine are very rocky and the water is very cold even in the summer! Katie, Brian and Kid Koala enjoyed finding tiny shrimp, snails, and crabs in the tide pools between the rocks. What is the coastline like where you live? Do you have tide pools also?
