Part 1: Before Harry met Hedwig

Darkness. It was everywhere but it was very comfortable. Soon, this place was getting very uncomfortable. Slowly, the darkness become to disappear. This dull light become to came closer. This tight place become tighter. I feel if I was trap. I want out. With a bit of strength, I was free. The tight place become to crack and crumble. I could not open my eyes. The dull light has become a bright light. The tight place didn't seem like a bad place. But I feel a sudden warmth and light disappear. I feel so tired. Slowly, the darkness wrap me and I was asleep surround by mother's warmth.

I was so hungry! I shriek so loud but mother didn't come. But I wasn't the only one complaining. My brothers and sister were hungry, too. But who cares about them?! I am hungry. I saw the wings white bird. Mother!! Suddenly, I feel something force down my throat. Food! Quickly, I swallow the food. It was so good. My hungry soon disappear. Soon, I was tired. I went to sleep. This continue for several days.

As the days pass, I become more aware of my surrounding and my family. It become more tight in our home. My brothers were taking all of the space. I wish they would fall out of the tree. They did fall out of the tree, several times. But mother and father would put them back. What a shame. My sister was the smallest and didn't take up much space. She was my favorite. We keep each other warm. There came our flying lessons. I swear, I thought my head was going to break and I would lose all of my feathers. Eventually, I got a hang of flying. I was happy in my little family.

Until the fire came......

The first thing I notice was the smell. The smell of burn wood and death. Then second thing, I notice was a bright orange light and its heat. Mother and Father pick us up and trying fly ahead of the fire. Something must have happen, because I fell to the ground. I roll down what feel like a hill. The first thing, I hit was the cold water. My body shake with shock. I could not fly and I was cold. The orange light was coming closely. I cried for mother, father, or my siblings but no one came. The smell came closer and my vision become to fared. Finally, I fell into darkness.

"I wonder if it is dead." A voice said. Slowly, my eyes but the only thing, I saw was darkness. "Ahh..so, you are alive. Wonderful. Ikolcam Acion Wonnjad." The voice said. I feel an odd warm surge through my body. I open my eyes again. I could see! I saw the most funniest creature I have ever seen. He was scared. I was screaming for my mother or father? Where were they?! The funny creature put me into an odd color nest. Then my surroundings change. I was in a very odd place. It has odd color nests everywhere. One of the funny creature look up me. "Ahh.....so, you are new one," the odd creature said.

That begin my training. I have to learn how to deliver messages. It was odd and tiresome. I didn't like some of the odd creatures. While, I like the other funny creatures. I learn that they were call humans and these humans were special. They were called wizards. Which, I found very confused? After I finish my training, I was send me to place where other birds are given a human. Over a course of time, I have many owners. Some owners were mean and some owners were nice but they had to send me back. I didn't understand. Why did the humans didn't like me? It is because of my feathers or I bit everyone's fingers if they try to pat me. I just want a home. I give out a loud sheik. A human boy turn to look at me. Our eyes meet. I give a soft hoot. The human boy give a smile. "Hello, there. My name is Harry."
