Benifits for having Crohn's Disease
It all depends on the attitude. One could live life to the fullest if one accepts things that happen to them.

Yes I have found that Crohn's Disease has given me benifits. I will share a couple of them:

Having CD makes one be able to understand what it is like to suffer (cause we all do). It allows one to understand what a good friend is going through when they have a problem (both physically and mentally because we all had those problems too). We know what is like to be depressed. I am sure that everyone with Crohn's went through that depressing phase at some period during their flares.

Having CD allows one to be stronger in a way. We skip less school and work days, because we know later on when we have a flare we will need those days off. It also allows us to be able to tolerate more pain than some. For example, be able to tolerate getting blood drawn many people I know cringe at the thought, but for us it is a way of life.

It can also get us out of doing certain things such as, smoking and drinking. We could blame it on the fact that we cannot have it or else it will through our systems out of wack. We could also blame it on some medication that we take.  I have heard horror stories that they really mess one up if they are taking certain drugs such as Flagel and having alcohol.
