Chapter 37 : Two birds with one stone
"Why?" He replied.
"Because, there's that vial of the poison Yamcha put in you in my lab and we might be able to make an antidote from it." She explained and started to pull him toward the bridge.
He walked with her, finaly realising.
'That's it. That's what I was forgetting...' He glanced back at the sickbay, 'I'm not going to end up like her, am I?' He wondered.
'I just have to learn how to do this.' She thought to herself, 'Once all this is over and Kiyashi and Vegeta are better I'm gonna get him to teach me...' Her mind wouldn't let her think for a second that the two Saiyans might actually die. The word was taboo in her head.
Beside her Vegeta guided the ship through the atmoshpere, slicing off large ammounts of speed as they neared the ground for another perfect landing. He had no time to boast.
'Duplicate it.' Her mind suddenly ordered.
'Huh? But that takes a week. It'd be worthless by then...'
'Do it anyway!'
"168 hrs" It read.
'Why did I do that again?' She wondered to herself, then went over to the other scientists to see if they needed anything.
Bulma looked up from watching the head Biologist's work, hearing Vegeta's thoughts and feeling his discomfort.
"Shit." She whispered and hurried over to him, placing a comforting hand on the prince's shaking shoulder.
Yamcha appeared and set down the bucket and towel. Bulma snatched both immediately and wiped the ailing Saiyan's face with the cold water. He wasn't as bad as Kiyashi, but she didn't want him to even get close to that stage. She glanced over at the Saiya-jin no Hime, but she had stopped her wild thrashing. Good, that HAD to be a good sign.
"Yeah." He was about to go when his eyes fell on the silent Saiya-jin no Hime. "Oh shit." He whispered, "Hey, Bulma? Whne they finaly make some of that antidote stuff give it to Kiyashi first, okay?"
Bulma frowned, "But she looks okay right now..."
"Trust me, she's not." He replied and sprinted off out the door in search of coffee.
"I guess it's my turn to pay nurse, hey?" She whispered to him, then brought the towel to his forehead.
"Bulma..." He managed to croak and opened his eyes a slit.
The pain showing in his ebony orbs brought tears to her eyes.
"It's all right, Vegeta." She shushed, "You'll be better soon, I promise."
