"Monkey! You're gonna pay for what you did to me!" Raython screamed at Vegeta.
Bulma blinked. What did he just say? It didn't sound like any form of English she knew... But Vegeta seemed to understand, shouting something back in the same throaty rumble.
'I wish I knew what he was saying!'
Kiyashi, who had just arrived, stopped in the doorway. She could understand the conversation going on perfectly well but wasn't bothering. All that mattered was getting Bulma out of here and beating Raython, that is, if that was physically posible. She and her brother were both Saiya-jin elites, the best of the bunch, naturally, but their opponent had allready beaten a group of eight Saiya-jin up good with minimal effort. Kiyashi mentally shook these thoughts from her mind and stepped forward slightly, feeling her blue ki well up inside her.
"Why don't we take this outside." Kiyashi suggested in the different language. Bulma stared at her like she was speaking gobbledy goop but Raython nodded.
"More room to mash up you monkeys." The scared creature hissed, smashing through a wall and out into the open air. "Come on, weaklings, let's see how well you can fight!"
He threw Bulma over his shoulder with as much effort as any normal person would have with a toothpick. Bulma yelped as she hit the ground, cursing every cuss she could think of off the bat as she massaged her aching tail bone. With an angry snarl Vegeta powered himself up and leapt at his opponent, pummeling his once-teammate with everything he had.
Raython blocked and dodged and blocked and dodged, never letting Vegeta land a hit. Kiyashi leapt into the fray with her brother and soon Raython was blocking two sets of attacks without mistake. Anger built up in both siblings as they were slammed into the ground with a single sweeping attack. Both were back up on their feet almost immediately, ignoring the bruises that were forming due to the hit. Just as Vegeta started his attack up again the weakness set in on Kiyashi. It had been hurting her before, but now it came worse than ever. The Saiya-jin no Hime struggled to fight off the blackness and keep her feet but it was all so hard...
Vegeta-Ouji was slammed deep into the ground, pain spreading from the point of impact through-out his body. Spitting blood he stood again, now fully aware that he and Kiyashi were in for it. He backed up to his sister, who still hadn't started up a second attack. Glancing at her, Vegeta knew why immediately. Her jaw was clenched shut, sweat forming on her brow and a look of concentration fixed onto her features. Vegeta would bet his life that it wasn't the battle she was concentrating on. Bulma trotted up to them, not really wanting to be alone on the other side of their enemy, and looked from brother to sister. They both looked beat.
On the other side Raython hadn't even broken a sweat. He stood there looking, if anything, bored. Then, as if hit by a sudden idea, he smirked lopsidedly and disapeared. The two warriors, one openly hurt, the other suffering internally, moved in unison to cover Bulma. She glanced at both of them, swallowing a lump of fear as she scanned their surroundings for signs of their mutilated enemy. She wondered vaguely where he got all those scars... There was a flicker on near the tree Bulma had been sheltering beneath and he was back.
Raython held up a head. Thick, jaggedly cut black hair fell to where the shoulders would have been and pale skin covered the face. Bulma looked away. Kiyashi stared. To her it was as if time had stopped in its tracks. The usually controlled appearance of the warrior princess began to fall away as her eyes grew wide.
"Y-you..." The other two stared at her, "K-Koren... Koren-san, no..." Moisture frighteningly similar to tears welled up in her eyes as her voice heightened to a scream. "BASTARD! HOW DARE YOU MESS WITH THE DEAD!" Kiyashi cried at Raython and threw herself at him.
The Saiya-jin no Hime scored hit after hit after hit as her wild frenzy drove her on. Bulma and Vegeta could only watch from the sidelines, eyes following every movement of the two combatants.
"Who's Koren?" Bulma wondered out loud.
Vegeta shrugged, how would he know? Someone dear to Kiyashi, that was for certain...
Kiyashi stood panting before her blue alien enemy. She had to do this... Had to defeat Raython! For Koren! For all of her former ship crew! But the warrior was tired, a faint dizziness buzzing in her head. The pain had died down slightly from her frenzied attack but it was starting to come back now, even worse than before. She controlled a pain induced shudder and forced her mind to focus completely on Raython. Immediately her anger returned.
'I hate you.' She thought at him with all her might, 'I hate you I hate you I hate you...'
"I HATE YOU!!" She screamed, ki rocketing upwards.
"YES! We're saved!" Bulma shouted from the sidelines, doing a victory dance.
Vegeta gaped. There was no way, no WAY, that she had just done it too. Before him. His YOUNGER sister. The fact that he had gone SSJ4 earlier meant nothing to Vegeta, whose heart was set on blue eyes and golden hair rather than red fur and pink eyes. If he'd been in his right mind Vegeta probably would've said something about reaching SSJ2 (he thinks it's level 2 because he's never seen LV. 3 or the real LV.2) but, as it was, he was insane with jealousy.
Kiyashi looked over at her brother, aqua eyes settling on his obsidian. She knew he hated orders as much as she, but it was neccessary.
"Vegeta! If I make any signs of mistake take your mate and leave immediately." The Saiya-jin no Hime could only hope that her older brother's love for his mate would overwhelm his normal pride. "Please." She added, "Bulma may need your help." She didn't mention that, should she mess up, that she herself would require aid. But then, no Saiya-jin in his or her right mind would say that.
