| Shinedown was formed in late 2001, and have blown up since then. They have made quite an accomplished career in the extension of their time out. They were signed in early 2002 to Atlantic Records. They released their debut album Leave A Whisper (which has now been re-released with more songs). It seems now as though you cannot turn on the radio without hearing "45" or "Simple Man". They come from Jacksonville, Florida. They toured with 3 Doors Down last summer, which is where most people heard of them. However, just because most were introduced as 3 Doors Down fans, more often than not people left that concert as Shinedown fans. I met shinedown for the first time at X-Fest 2003, which I had heard them prior to that but meeting them just made them all the more fan-worthy! After they played at X-Fest they came out and hung out in the crowd with the local kids and stuff. They were really kool about it. In January of this year I met Shinedown for the second time (this was at the previous mentioned 3 Doors Down Concert and then I met them again at the Charleston Regatta in early August. All three shows rocked and they really get involved with their crowd. So if you get the opportunity to go to a concert GO! It's awesome!!<3 |
