Step 1 - Removing the Cover
You have to remoe the trim piece to get to the radio. There are 4
screws holding this piece on. After removing the screws, pull out
gently, unclip the cigareete lighter, and remove the rest of the
way.
Step 2 - Removing the old stereo
My Delco stereo was held in by 2 small hex bolts. Remove these
bolts and carefully pull out the old radio. Disconnect all the
wires and the antenna from the back.
Step 3 - Hook up new wires
I used a wiring harness for simpleness of installation. Your
stereo should come with it's own harnees to go to the factory
wiring. Match up the appropriate wires, and connect with the butt
connectors.
Step 4 - Connect new stereo
Plug the wired harnesses into the stereo and car. Connect the
antenna (many new stereos require use of an antenna adapter) to
the stereo. You should now be getting power to your radio when
you turn the ignition on. Test all the channels before you try
mounting the unit. If you will be adding an amp at this time,

Step 5 - Mount the stereo
Use your mounting kit to install your new stereo. Depending on
the depth of your new radio, you may have to use and extended
mounting kit. I had to use one on my Clarion. Bolt it back into
the tope holes, the bottom ones are for the screws in the trim
piece to go through. If a trim piece is used on the stereo you
can put it in place now.
Step 6 - Reassembly
Simply put the trim piece back on, remembering to connect the
ligher back up. That's about all there is to it...
