Dancing Sheeba
This piece, entitled 'Dancing Sheeba', was created as an art history project for my advanced ceramics class (spring 2004). I had to find a piece of art and recreate it. The original creator of this piece (I forgot who it was and I am incredibly sorry) was inspired by the Hindu image of a Dancing Sheeba.
This sculpture is actually a teapot. The legs form the handle. The tree type thing (I think its a tree type thing) is the spout, if you remove the cap. The pyramid shape is the body of the teapot and is, therefore, hollow. This teapot includes its own teacup (though it is very small). The body of the dancing sheeba at the top of the piece is the teacup and the arms shooting out are the handles.
