...not to profile you, but...
O.K., I just wanna know who started this fashion trend of wearin' pajamas out in public. You know the ones, with the cartoon characters...? So I can slap them upside th' head!!! You know U wrong for that, cause I found myself once in the presence of a woman (over 40' mind you) wearin' those things with a pair of "HIGH HEELED" shoes on!? Oh, my goodness. That's all I can say. And while on the subject of "shoes" ... those "House Slippers" that some folks have been wearin' outside and everywhere else ... Boo, that's nasty, it's one of the filthiest habits a person can have, and I can just imagine what the floors in "your" houses look like. Most of us remove our shoes at the front door, to keep the day's dirt and grime out of our homes, but if I were to pay "you" a visit, I'd have to keep my shoes on, so I wouldn't catch somethin'!
I'm not done. If I see one more "durrrtttty" Bra peekin' at me out from under one of those so-called "wife-beater" t-shirts, another pair of scummy boxers, 'cause ya' saggin' your pants, or somebody else with a nasty scarf tied around their head, I'm gonna slap myself. And no, we do not want to see them bellies with those 'stretch marks!' Keep "all that" to yourself! I find myself over-looking a lot, 'cause it really wouldn't be a problem for me to join the 'fashion police' and start handing out citations, but I'd just like to see us try and take a different approach and try to inform these "violators" as to why they don't want to walk out of the house lookin' that way.
It's simple. Let me give it to you in two (2) words. Pride and Employment.
While I do have phobias about cleanliness, it's not just me, many of us feel the same way... if the straps that are visible on the intimate apparel are that "slick" and "dirty" ... y'all know where I'm going with this... right? ...We can just about imagine what the rest of him or her is like under there, and without even tryin' to paint a picture, we can assume those other "special places" are being neglected too, because most folks wouldn't put clean clothes on a dirty body. If people want respect, they have to project that they respect and value themselves, first. They won't even be considered as responsible with the package they're presenting to the world. Yet you'll notice that these are the same people who'll complain that "Ain't NO jobs out there". I know if they showed up at my place of employment asking for an application, no matter how desperate my employer is, I'm sure our Human Resources office would absolutely tell them they were not hiring.
While the mentality many of the younger ones have today, is that all this is "sexy" or the "thing to do", my reality is ... I don't want them standing next to me lookin' like that! See, it's not even about you makin' me look bad, because only I can do that, and me alone, but what I'm afraid of is something jumping off them NASTY CLOTHES you have on, and onto me! Let me suggest one purchase for you, and it will only cost you approximately what you paid for those pajamas, a full length MIRROR. People, you never know when opportunity is right around the corner for you, ...don't get caught slippin.
Til' next week readers! Ciao!
