Lets Go Mets! Whoo! Lets Go Mets! Whoo!
My feelings on my favorite team, The NY Mets and other sports stories.
Entry for September 11, 2006

I was on my way to work 5 years ago today.  I hadn't turned on the radio for some reason.  When I got inside, everyone was telling me about the plane crash into the one of the twin towers.  They didn't know which airline it was, but Jetwire had put out a release that one of our planes was missing.  Then things happened so fast that I can't remember all of the details.  I remember someone saying that the airplane that crashed into the Pentegon had an eagle on it and we all though it was an American Eagle flight.  Then word started coming in that one of the NY planes was ours and the other belong to United.  Then the news kept saying that all flights were grounded immediately.  One airplane was not responding and had been flight an irratic course.  FAA couldn't raise United 93 on the radio.  Then, it disappeared over Pennsylvannia.  We were stunned.  One of the towers began to fall, and it was captured on the news live.  About 30 minutes later, the second tower collasped.  A co-worker and I walked out back (a usual break for us in the morning and the afternoons because it was so cold in the office).

I'll finish my thoughts later, I have to go on a trouble ticket.
