David Wright put on a great show last night in the home run derby, but could not keep it up as Ryan Howard won with a late power surge.  Howard started out slowly, but ended the first round passing Jermaine Dye on his final out.  He several into the river, as did David Ortiz (moon shots!).  I picked Howard to win the derby on a Sportsline poll, but I hoped that Wright would win.  Can't wait for the season to get going again to see if the Mets can regain that early season consistancy.  To their credit, they have had some injuries in the pitching staff, and 2nd platooning that wasn't in their plans.  Hopefully Cliff Floyd will provide some additional power once the All-Star break is over and he has had a chance to rest.
