You can't judge a book by its cover. Neither can you judge a book by the first few pages. Sadly, people often only have time to see the cover, read a couple of pages, and come to a conclusion. This is romance. That's sci-fi. And so on and so on.

For the people who happen to get past the surface, things are bound to get more complicated. What started as romance advanced to thriller, then ended in a completely unexpected twist. For the people who happen to get past the surface, it's no good to be the only one who's in the know. They want other people to read the book from start to end, not skipping a chapter along the way. They desperately want that. That things aren't always as good as people see on the outside. That after a couple of pages of romance, comes a murder case.

But the people who happen to get past the surface can't just say that. Most  other people won't believe them. Most other people don't believe them but they won't read past the first couple of pages, and the book gave them the wrong impression.
