Mommyfried's Caching Blog
A blog to report the good and the ugly of caching in Oklahoma!
Entry for January 10, 2007
I think I am finally getting caught up from the whirl whind weekend of caching.  Started out early Sat. morning doing a big maintenace run on several of my caches and then later in the day doing a mini cache run for new caches close to home.  After all I needed the next set of clues in the Darkmoon "Heaven and Hell" series.  I'm not sure if I have said how lucky I am that I married a man who can be obsesed about puzzles.  As many of you know I stink at best at solving most puzzles but some how he manages to push through them.  This particualar series had him narrowing the final location to 120 possibilities at one point.  Once he had it narrowed down to about 6 we decided to go for it on Sunday.  We managed to get lucky and his first pick of locations was the jackpot.  What a fun cache to get to.  We  were able to bounce the kids all over the cache mobile to get there and they were laughing and giggeling the entire time.  Not once did they forget we were going for a Darkmoon cache once we stopped.  Infact I pointed in the general direction and they were off.  Good thing briars will slow them down.  I handed the gps off to Spearfox and the hunt was on.  Now one thing you have to know about caching with Claw Attack is he will say he has found the cache when really he hasn't he just wants you to have to come and check out what he is looking at.  So when he made the announcment to the rest of the family we didn't believe him until he actually produced the cache.  Mind you Spearfox and I were stumbeling all over our selves trying to get to the location.  I wish I still had the ability to climb and balance (and not be afraid of falling) like I did when I was a kid.  That would make so many things easier.  After having an adrinalin filled Sunday, Monday just snuck up on me.  Monday I managed to drop the kids off at school and then met up with Calamity and Jillcachingin for a cache run day.  If you haven't had the chance to cache with these two women you are missing out on a treat.  By the way Calamity I don't want to hear anymore about my driving on sidewalks .  I now know what you do...  What a blast I think we were all amazed at how many we were able to knock out.  Especially since we are here from the central Oklahoma area.  Out of sixty five caches there was only one that Calamity had already done that Jillcachingin was able to claim.  (I noticed Calamity had to grab just one more on her way home so she would be even with Jillcachingin.  LOL)  In the earlier part of the day T-Berrie was able to join us for the fun.  I believe by the end of her day she had around 35 caches and that was even after she had to part from us early also.  I also had to do the car pooling thing after school and meet back up with the girls later.  Then my kids had fun switching back and forth in which vehicle they were riding in.  You know you can trust your friends when you can say "I don't have those coords  I'll just follow you to the next cache."  What a blast being led blind can be.  Puts new twists on skirt lifting.  By the way I also managed to plant 3 caches of my own on Saturday and helped Claw attack plant his second cache.  Anyway what all this boils down to is now I have to get the house prepared for this cold front that is blowing in and my hiking boots are just screaming "NO LETS GO CACHING."  Darn that responsibility thing.  Incase I don't get back to this for a few days have fun, keep warm, and get that cache!
