Entry for October 19, 2006
You know you have done this. Work hard on doing your first cache or on a special cache that is exciting to you. Well about 24 hours ago I finally posted a cache I had been trying to get out GCYY1Z "Feelin Lucky - OKC's largest cache container." I had been trying to get this one out since my trip to Clarksville Arkansas in the early spring. It has been one of those things that no matter what something got in the way. First it was the funds to actually buy the needed equipment then kids birthdays then a tree fell on the location then going out of town then Fall fest who knows it allways seemed to be something. It seemed like everything was in the way of me finally posting the cache. So I finally get the job done. That is when I just cann't seem to wait anylonger. Will RJ approve the cache? Who is going to get FTF? How long will it take for them to find it? Will the other cachers like my idea? All of these ideas and more were racing through my head. Darkmoon got a good chuckle when I was at his place when one that he submitted after me was approved but mine hadn't yet. What was wrong OMG? Did I do something wrong? That's when I had to use great restraint the sudden urge to shove DM out of the way and hijack his PC for just a minute to check my email was almost unbearable. Oh the humiliation! Was I going insane? I have posted several other caches in the past but my anxiety on this one was over the top. Then as the obsession was growing it even led to me sleeping with my door open all night just incase one of the FTF people came in the middle of the night. (I know you night owls are out there. I'm just glad Spearfox is one of them also.) After all I didn't want to miss that. Now it is 24hrs later and the cache seems to have been accepted and all is well back in the home of Mommyfried. Now I get to just sit back and watch. Since this is the first cache that I've had at my home I'm looking forward to possibly meeting cachers that come by and play my little twisted caching game.
