Mommyfried's Caching Blog
A blog to report the good and the ugly of caching in Oklahoma!
Entry for October 12, 2006
Well I made it back.  Florida was great!  Unfortunatly the bride had a little problem before the wedding.  She forgot to renew her car tag.  Under normal conditions this would not be that big of a deal but when you are having your wedding on a navy base you have to have everything current to get your car on the base.  Hence my caching delima.  Seeing how much I love my cousin and wanted this day to go as perfectly as possible for her  we ended up using our rental car to help her with all her wedding errands and stuff.  Therfor, my caching was greatly inhibited on this trip.  I regret that fact but don't regret helping family.  I was however able to pull off a little caching and each cache that I did has its own story and I cann't wait to post my logs.  I didn't think I would have that much fun without any of my caching buddies with me.  My mom suprised me alot with her enthusiasism on this trip for letting me cache.  The caches I will get to claim are  GCGPY3, GCNDHT, GCNVJ0, GCD6F4, GCP9YD.   I will also be logging one DNF GCMHK8 I got a little spooked at this one you will see.  As usual there are the caches that I cann't really log because I didn't give it a good enough try.  I really wasn't prepared enough I had only brought one pair of jeans and there were several that were off of trails but when you are in flip flops and shorts it just isn't worth the risk of P.I. while  on vacation.  I also must admit the weather there was so nice some of the trails that I took were lengthy but do to the comfortable weather they were wonderfull even if I didn't find a cache.  From my Florida experience I recomend the Florida caches.  The Florida cachers didn't let me down I was able to see many things that I wouldn't have on the "tourist guide to Florida." So if you are a Florida cacher I tip my hat and say "great job guys and gals I really enjoyed your wonderful state."  Now hopfully I can get some logging in before I have to pick the kids up from school.
