Education is an Atmosphere
Our family's journey into homeschooling, life with 5 (so far) children, and a lot to learn....
The end is in sight!

First of let me say that I am a very fickle person.  I change my mind constantly and I rush into things without careful thought & research.  Then when I'm there, I will cut & run just as quickly as I rushed in.  So with that said, I am so NOT thrilled with the blog on yahoo.  I've signed up for one on blogspot.  (To be posted later as I have time to set it up, probably after Christmas).  I was hoping to get creative with this blog & since I YAHOO everything else it just made since to blog with YAHOO.  But being creative is NOT what they are all about.  I can post photos easily but other than that it is not possible to add friends or other links to the side bars b/c there are no side bars.  Anyway, with that said I will move on...

My babies have all been sick for over a week.  It started w/ my 7yo, then my 9 yo, then my 3 yo (SO pitiful, he always gets hit hard with whatever he gets), next my 5 yo and then, almost worse than my 3yo was my baby, 17 mo.  It is awful to see any of your children sick but the babies are the hardest.  At least when they are talking they can tell you what is wrong, they understand what the bowl stuck in front of their face is for, and they don't look at you like you are doing this to them when they can't catch their breath from coughing and throwing up.  My 17 mo has become an expert at seeking out the tissues to wipe her nose and finding the trash can to throw up in.  The good news in all of this is that I think we are finally getting over it.  Everybody was eating again at dinner last night, YEAH!!!  No one has thrown up since yesterday morning and the coughing is down to a few bouts during the night, not constant.

So, this week instead of getting ready for our trip to visit Uncle Rob for Christmas I have been taking care of sick babies.  So that leaves today & part of tomorrow to....finish Christmas shopping & wrapping presents, laundry (UGH!), pack, clean the house (hubby refuses to leave a messy house), make a Christmas dinner for us tonight so we can celebrate our Christmas before we go, get the oil changed & car washed, get frontline for the pooch & give her a bath (mom & dad like her clean), not too mention the regular day to day stuff.  So, here I am taking care of business typing on my blog, priorities, you know!

So, if I don't get another chance to say it...

Merry Christmas everyone and have a Happy New Year!
