October 14, 2006 ![]() Well, since it is Saturday.... I thought I might introduce you to my hobby. This is a 1966 Ford Galaxie LTD with a 390 engine. This car was bought, almost new, by my wife's grandfather. He drove it for years, and then my wife's father, Henry Ensor, drove it for years. It was really taken care of. I bought it about three years ago, and it had been in storage for quite some time. I have really gotten excited about learning how to do some repairs. I really have fun tinkering with (but more fun driving) this car. My point in sharing this with you, is to remind you that life should be happy. It is important to work hard at whatever you do, and strive to be the best that you can be, but sometimes it is nice to just do something that you like to do. Having something that takes your mind off of the grind every once and a while, will actually give you a fresh outlook on your work and make you better at what you do. I love the guitar, and I love performing and teaching, but I think those areas in my professional life have improved because of having this hobby as an outlet. So, remember, work hard and always do your best, but occasionally take some time for yourself! God Bless!!! As one who also applies the idea of keeping busy with a variety of projects (many of which perhaps only I appreciate the results), I will agree with your every word on the subject.
