Charles Stross: Singularity Sky
This first novel is extremely well done. The science is beyond my grasp but
is consistently applied and believable. The characters are well drawn and
have rounded personalities unlike some sci-fi novels where the humans are
cardboard cut-outs. The plot is relatively simple in outline but complex in
execution and the author handles this well.
