Entry for July 13, 2007 Cell: Stephen King
This is the first Stephen King novel I have read so I have no idea whether it is
up to his usual standard, better or worse, than others. The concept of an
everyday object in near universal use being the agent of horror is well done
and, by and large, sustained though some of the effects seem to appear rather late in the day - I could not see the point of the levitation scene near
the end, for example. While the characters are somewhat stereotyped - the
nerdy young schoolboy and the beautiful teenager etc - there is consistency
