'Inqalaab' to "The Mahatma" ![]() Last of the few months…..nation’s the chant….revolution is the key sound ….glory the flick “Rang De Basnti”…… Some 21 years, back the times past…..an impressive motion picture…hit the celluloid ….and …had 9 mementos to attest the metal…….Among of the classy acts of ‘Ben Kingsley’…that was…A class apart. Th 1982 academy award winner for…the best picture…”GANDHI” ……maybe dust chock-a-block a envelop on the movie, over the decades…But…just dab off the dust…and the gloss still shows….. …what grasses me a catch-22 is….a very much a jingoistic/ patriotic difficulty…thou seem void to many…is….. Who in fact did won us the freedom?......was it the “Inqalaab’s” of the Bhagat singhs…and the Azaad’s…or was it…the very silent…the very serene…works of Mr. Gandhi?...the difficulty prevails…. .we make out stories…to celebrate a celluloid hit…We Celebrate out a movie...we celebrate the partisanship….we celebrate a rebellion in us..But what we unsee….the truths...that might have faded, the day…Red Fort lost its troops. And maybe... I did grasp…it takes revolutions ….to make out a GANDHI…no mater the real…no matter the Celluloid. 2006-04-29 18:09:25 GMT

Its true dat Gandhi ji was a very important part of the Indian Independence movement.. and perhaps d most important one.. But we should not forget that it were the Krantikaaris who put a fear in d heart of the English Regime dat d situation cannot remain in control for long.. N dey took mahatma gandhi as choice as he was d easier one.. to listen and to negotiate... Had they gone to the Kraantikaaris.. We would still be ONE nation and not INDIA and PAKISTAN.. Deep inside me, i feel the pain when i think wat our ancestors went through during the partition.. And wat for? Just the petty politics... I love India and I love Pakistan and my brothers and sisters who are living on the other side of the trivial line...
