This blog has been created as part of an assignment for an MBA class.  I will be following Boston Scientific over the next few months and commenting on any news and events of the company.

I chose Boston Scientific because I work for a healthcare company and wanted to learn more about other healthcare companies in the industry.  Boston Scientific's mission is similar to the company I work for in that the goal is to improve the quality of healthcare.  I hope to learn more about how Boston Scientific plans to accomplish this. 

There has been a lot in the news lately about potentially harmful side effects from drug-eluting stents.  I'm also interested in learning if this news has any impact on Boston Scientific.

So, stay tuned over the next few months as I learn more about this company's strategy, their products, and their progress towards improving the quality of patient care.
