A Gift of Love

A precious family granted a gift of love,

From deep within their hearts,

A send-off to a blessed place where more blessings were in store.

My heart was touched each hour, each day,

By the love I saw in others.

Springing from His well within us.

The sweetest gift came on the final day

When I was greeted by the voice of my favorite angel:

"Mrs. Lincoln!" I heard, and turned to see the sweet face of a former student, dearly loved.

Cameron found herself in a bear hug. I had to make myself finally let go.
