This morning I took an easier trip to the sunrise.
The "Chimney Park" at the end of Langley provided quick access.
I plan to bring Madeline and Maxwell (the Great Pyrs) next time.
They could both make the walk over the railroad tracks to the shoreline and would provide the perfect reassurance against any lurking perverts in the area.
Following my morning meditation I decided to pick up the trash scattered all over the place. Several plastic grocery bags had been left there for my convenience.
Among the disgusting crap that "people" left behind and I picked up were:
Numerous empty beer cans, a drained glass bottle of cheap wine, several catsup & mustard packets, fast-food containers, a diaper, a tangled fishing line, a sand-coated t-shirt, a broken folding chair, numerous plastic cups and bottles, a wet cardboard box, several more plastic grocery bags, a sheet of metal, broken pieces of glass, and too many cigarette-butts to bother with this time. I picked up my three full grocery bags of other "people's" thoughtless, discarded mess along with the busted lawn chair and walked less than a distance of three blocks to the trash cans beside the historic chimney. My arms were aching from the sheer weight of the load. As I made my way from the beach to the trash can I noticed the path was littered all along the way. There was a plastic "Big Gulp" cup lying on the grass less than two feet from the trash can. I picked it up and tossed it in.
There was just enough room left in the can.
