I came into this world:

First Born, Favored Child

of intelligent, talented, insightful, and good-looking parents.

I inherited all of these traits.

I was a quick study in learning how to express myself-

Speaking clearly and in grammatically-correct sentences before age 2.

I was quite spoiled and fussed over by both of my parents until the unfortunate arrival of my sister just under two years later.

Wouldn't you know it?

She had to be born 2 weeks before my birthday, meaning that her birthday always came first.

My mother once told me that upon being asked (just prior to Leah's birth) if I would like a baby sister or brother, I responded,

"No thank you, Mommy."
