Tonight I sat on the second row and saw and heard Father Thomas Keating speak about Contemplative Prayer and other aspects of his philosophy and belief. I was spellbound, fascinated by his wisdom.
In the notes I scribbled, I wrote down some of his words:
"The inner room is a disposition, an attitude, a consent. It is an openness to God's divine invitation - to His divine love -
It is learning how to listen, to tune into the mysterious non-voice.
Silence is God's first language."
