RANDOM RAMBLINGS
...Just stuff that rattles around in my head that I want to remember. Rants, prayers, and bad poetry.

Life as a Fourth Grade Teacher

One of my nine-year-old students took this picture on the bus trip

home from our field trip. I'm not in love with my face or anything, but

what I do like about this photo is that it captures the joy I feel when I'm

with my students...especially on a field trip. The fact that Jon even

wanted to take my picture thrills me.

I have an undeniable craving to teach. On a good day, I can almost

bask in the presence of these youngsters. I am always delighted when I

am shown some small, sweet indication of a child's love and admiration.

Nothing is more precious.

As long as I am able to teach, my prayer will always be that God will

grant me the wisdom, patience, love, and stamina to guide "my kids"

toward a desire to learn and a confidence and pride in themselves and in

their abilities.
