| Sunday, March 13th, 2005 - So I'm finally getting some much needed updates into this site like I've needed to for awhile. Hopefully I'll be able to do some damage control and fix some things that broke in the pictures section, maybe add some new ones. That would be nice, wouldn't it? And I've come to notice lately that I haven't been getting truly philosophical on here. Well, I can't just pull those things right out of thin air! You're just going to have to wait 'til the right moment hits! So over the course of this week I'm gonna be updating some stuff and putting some new stuff in so check back often! -Monday, March 7th, 2005 - Ok, first we need to get a few website issues straightened out. I did finally figure out how to get the previous thoughts of the week to continue displaying in the "Past Thoughts" space. So last week's thought is now there. However I did lose a few, and they will never return from whence they came. - Secondly, it has come to my attention that a few people's pictures...namely Meagan and Annie, I know your pictures are broken links, and I'm sorry. I don't have those pictures on my new computer to repair the damage, so please send them to me sometime. Also, I haven't updated that in awhile so I will probably get doing that over the spring break next week. Since we are on the subject, if you'd like to have a new picture on my website, feel free to send it to me at any of my email addresses and I will be happy to post it. - Thirdly...Now I can finally get to my thought of the week. I've been to college for about two years now. The first year seemed to crawl by and take years. This year, we were halfway through the first semester before we realized it. Then it was Christmas. This semester just started, and already we're into week 9 of 16 weeks of Purdue 2005. That means we have 7 weeks to go...and yet, it seems that the year has gone by soo fast. I know that when I was little, time really went slow, and a day in class seemed like a decade. If time keeps accelerating, I should be 50 in about 10 seconds. :) - Alot of people are going on spring break this week, and I know alot of people including myself will be on spring break before this website gets updated again, so everyone, have a good and safe one. Mmmm k? -Sunday, February 27th, 2005 - Wow, I'm actually writing something for my website on a Sunday again! This is a first. I had a little free time so I thought I'd put a message up here. Michaela is in the other room though so I will have to go back soon and be with her and watch the race. Poor Junior. Somebody needs to get that boy some steel wheels! - On a side note, for all you programmers out there: why is it when I edit my website, everything looks good. But when I go ahead and publish it, up in the corner under the "My Friends" section, there will be a "?" that appears. What's up with that? I'm not programming in HTML or anything fancy. Just a text box. If you can tell me how to fix it, please let me know. Mmmmm, k? - Have a great week everybody! -Monday - February 21st, 2005 - Well I don't have much to say this week. I've lost the last two thoughts of the week because for some reason they won't transfer over. Why, I'm not sure. I can't copy and paste them into other webpages, I can't copy and paste them into Word or anything...Geocities does not like copying or pasting I do believe. Anyways, I know its been awhile coming for this website to receive some kind of upgrade with new material, so you'll be getting that soon. Probably around spring break which is in roughly 3 weeks. I may have something new by then. But not sooner. So right now I have 3 exams this week; one tonight, one tomorrow night, and a lab practical on Friday. I know alot of other people have exams this week too so good luck. -Monday, January 31st, 2005. Boy, this morning was just great! I got to sleep in, get up, go to a Physics lab that wasn't all that hard. Then I got out a few minutes early, long enough for me to type my report so I won't have to do it later. And now I had a few minutes to update my website before I go off to Physics lecture. Then its to lunch, where I'll read the Indy Star, then my statics class, and then I'm done for the day. You know, this may be one of my best Monday's yet! Hope the rest of my week goes this way! And of course, I hope you have a good day, and a good week too! -Monday, January 24th, 2005. So this is the last full week of school in the month of January. I don't know whether to say "yay! one month down," or be somewhat upset because one month is already gone of 2005. Boy that went fast didn't it? Oh well. This is also the first week that I've actually had ALL my classes since the first week of school, so I'm finally getting a taste of how much work I really will have all the time, and it doesn't seem to be too bad. Perhaps this semester won't be too bad? Famous last words, right? Welp, until next time, hasta lasagna. -Saturday, January 15th, 2005. About half an hour before Sunday, January 16th. Well well well, I just noticed it was the 15th, and January only has 31 days, so its about halfway over already. Doesn't it seem like just yesterday, it was January 1st? I wonder what makes time move so much faster the older you get? Seems like along time ago, 15 days was an eternity. Shoot, one day was nearly infinite. I miss those days. Those were good days...good days. Anyways, this last week was my first week back to school. I must say, I liked break better. But it was good to see my friends again. And I had my usual Purdue experience. I had to test out of Math 159, or take the course and add another semester to my life. So I tested out, and I actually passed! Woohoo! Math doesn't seem so bad now. So I feel like I'm rambling on here a bit, so I'll probably end this now. I would also like to mention, I have a new girlfriend! Woohoo! This isn't often this happens anymore. But she's really great, and she's really sweet, and you'll probably start seeing her presense here on the website more, as she decides to take over my life! Hehe! Just kidding. Anyways, its our "two week" anniversary...if you even want to call it that. So happy anniversary babe! Love ya! -Sunday, December 26th 2004 (HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!) -Merry Christmas! Oh wait, that was yesterday. Hehe! Well I hope you guys had good ones and you got everything you wanted, or at least some of what you wanted. I know I did. I'll spare you the list here, and I know alot of you have already asked, so I won't bore you with telling you again. Anyways, it was fun to see it come, and I'm sad to see it go, and only 364 days til the next one. Woohoo! So, we have just under a week left of 2004. Boy this year has seemed to go by fast. My second semester of college seemed to go by somewhat slowly, and this third one has flown by, and somehow I have a feeling that my 4th one will go even faster. And of course next year I'll be turning the big 2-0. I think I may be like Dustin and have a quarter-life crisis or something. Hehe, no, that's his idea. I guess I will have to come up with something else on my own....childhood 1.5 perhaps? Anyways, I hope everyone has a happy new year, and I'll see you guys back in college what...January 10th? -Sunday, December 19th 2004 (MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!) -Weeeee!! Exam week is over! Yay! I was so glad. Last week seemed to drag on forever! I guess I can't complain though because a few people I know were still at Purdue yesterday taking their exams, and I feel bad for them. I'm sorry guys! Or well...they were pretty much all girls. I'm sorry girls! That's what you get for not taking Technology courses! Hehe! Anyways, this will probably be my last thought of the week before Christmas, so everyone have a happy one! I hope you get what you want, or what you deserve. Hahaha! I know, you're thinking "Is he kidding?" Anyways...oh yes...I should also mention that today I got alerted by the Facebook that it was Dustin Meyer's birthday. So everybody tell Dustin Meyers happy birthday. Or send him an ecard. Or money...I bet he'd like that. Yea. Money. Or perhaps just 200 fluid ounces of peaches. -Saturday, December 11th 2004 -Alright, one week to go and then its Christmas. Yay! Boo! All at the same time. Because next week is exam week, and as we all know, exams are no fun. Alot of my classes gave us a midterm...where we were tested on everything we learned up to that point. Why can't those classes just make it so that the final exam only covers the material we've done since the first exam? I mean, I don't remember ANY of it! I guess that's what studying is for. Ugh. Anyways, yea I haven't done any Christmas shopping yet either really. Who's in the same boat? Yo. Anyways, to everybody who reads this, good luck on your exams. I'm out. -Sunday, December 4th, 2004 -So I'm sitting here this morning after an incredibly "hard" morning of watching tv, eating, and putting the grader blade on "Furgee" so we'll be ready to plow the driveway when it snows. This is my last week of classes, and then next week is going to be the horrible week of exams. *Sigh*. I hate college life. On a side note, this semester has gone by so very fast, and I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed that too. It seems like last year, one week was equal to about 3 or 4 and things just didn't go well. ?This year they're going fairly well and screaming by. Next thing I know, it'll be summer. Anybody wish they could be little again, just so there was more hours in the day? Oh well, lunch is ready. Bye y'all. Have a great week. -Sunday, November 28th, 2004 -Sometimes I sit here and think "Why am I so lucky?" I was born in the United States, the greatest country in the world, where we have the freedom to do what we want, and we're not constantly torn apart in Civil War. Other people around the world don't have that luxury. So what did I do to get so lucky to be born here and not in some place like Iraq? I probably will never discover the answer to that question, and quite honestly, I'm almost happy not knowing. So thanks to the troops who defend our freedom, I wish they could all come home to be with their families on these holidays. -Sunday, November 7th, 2004 -Why is it everytime in life, when we want something to happen, usually the exact opposite happens? Like for example, you're hoping the elevator is on the 1st floor so you can go up to your room faster, but when you get to the elevators, both are on 8. Now...when you start predicting this event, thinking "Oh, I wish the elevators were on 1, but knowing my luck, they'll be on 8," and then you see both are on 8, do you take pride in knowing that you predicted right? Isn't that a weird feeling? -Sunday, October 31st, 2004 (Happy Halloween everyone!) -I have a father, we all do, but all I ever seem to talk to him about is something mechanical. I can't help but wonder why I don't talk to him about other stuff like life, girls, or anything else you can imagine. Do you feel like you have a parent that you only talk about one thing together? Have you ever tried to talk to them about something else? Why not? -Sunday, January 2nd, 2005 -Well, the new year is finally here, happy 2005 everyone! I know this year will be a great one, but I wanted to take a look back this week to my favorite moments of 2004. So in your remaining vacation time before college starts back up, if you get bored, think back to your favorite moments. - It was my first semester of passing all my classes! And I didn't feel like such a loser anymore! - My birthday of course. Those are always fun. Except for the part where I sat in my room studying all day for final exams! Hehe. Oh well. - Working on the 110 some more, and realizing how far its come in the year or so that I've owned it. - Driving my truck became more fun. - Friends. Yup, all of em. - Believe it or not, I actually like college this year because I have a bunch of friends, and I'm rooming with my friend Nick instead of someone some computer decided at complete random. -These are just a few of the things I can come up with off the top of my head. I'm sure I will come up with alot more after I publish this webpage, and I'll have to go back in and edit it or something. I imagine there's no end to all the good times I've had this past year, and I'll miss it. So now its your turn, sit back and think about your favorite moments of 2004, and if you feel like telling me about them, maybe I'll even publish them here on my website! |
