War is hell
On thing you should know is if you want to become an MP here in England, you do not need any qualifications whatsoever. I’ll repeat that you do not need any qualifications whatsoever. So after becoming an MP you can have the job of War Minister, not even knowing what it is like to have been soldier, getting shot at or having to return fire.
I do not know if that is the same in the USA, but from what I do believe is one should know about the job you are doing, or you will be laughed at, if not to your face but behind your back. It is in my thinking that the man or woman who has the job should know about it first hand, you learn about service men and woman by being one of them.
Now, concerning the two B’s, our leaders, they have never spent any time doing what they are asking the young men and woman to do. Go, kill or be killed, War is hell so why go there or send others to kill or be killed. I have been there and seen some of the damage it can do, not only during action but when you are demob.
I was not a front line soldier; my job was to feed the men out on patrol and in the frontline so as to speak.
I stayed up late at night to feed them and I was waiting whatever time they came back, I was ready with hot soup, hot tea, jam and bread. But make, no mistake, if we were on 24hr pack I marched with them. I jumped with them; yes my training took me to Abingdon to learn the art of jumping out of a moving airplane. Jumping out of a plane is what any fool can do but it is what you do when you lead, kit on your back and you march.
You only know the smell of burnt human flesh from personal experience, it stays with you all you life, your senses register it for life never to be forgotten.
War is hell so do not forget it, everything about killing is hell and even those who are left to pick up the pieces after it is over can be scarred for life.
It would seem that the current leaders wish to have their names in line for history, so they send their men and women to war so they will be remembered.
Sending men and women off to fight without the right equipment is for fools, having to share a protection jacket with another man, you know one is going to loose his life, one such was that of Steve Roberts in Iraq.
War is like no other business; consultancy theories just do not work when it comes to fighting in war.
It took Florence Nightingale and the work of Mary Seacole to show the men in Government that the sick need looking after, the faster you get a fighting man back to work the better, if only for them to die fighting.
PS
Now My Blair wants to make a limited apology for slavery, do so but not for me Mr PM this will not do at all. Have it taught in schools tell that kids how it came about, that will do nicely. Let them know our contribution to the England and the so call New World.
I am an off spring of one of the 300.000 drags into slavery; yes I am glad my foke help built up the so call new world.
