It is a festival season in Tokyo downtown now.
By the way,do you know about big 3 festivals in Tokyo?
kanda-matsuri,Sanja-matsuri,and Sannou-matsuri.
(matsuri=festival)

If you want to go for sightseeing in Tokyo downtown,I think,you had better go to see Sanja-matsuri.
Sanja-matsuri is opened in Asakusa.
About 200 mikoshi is walking around in Asakusa.And you can also walking around for sightseeing in the town.Many beautiful and traditional shops are in Asakusa.

Mikoshis in Sanja-matsuri walking aroud looking as quarreling each other.

Mikoshi is a gorgeous viecle of God.All people taking part in the festival are wearing same uniform as each town and they carry mikoshi of their town on the shoulder with shouting.

And if you want to laern about history,you had better Kanda-masturi.
Because Kanda myoujin shrine was build for keeping peace in Edo.
The direction of north east is called the gate of Evel in Japan.And Ieyasu Tokugawa,1st.Shogun and the founder of Edo,built a kanda myoujin shrine at that direction.

I went to Kanda fes. last Sunday in Nihonbashi.
Kanda fes. is opened every 2 year as a big fes. this year was opened as matsuri in shadow(they say so,means not big fes.)
Even if not big fes. was special fes. for people in Noihonbashi.

Because the big mikoshi as you can see the photograph is presented to Kanda shrine by Suitengu near Nihonbashi.
Suitengu is a famous shrine for being blessed with children.

Any way,the festival freak in Tokyo has no time for working!!
