Hyatt Hotel. I stayed here (Birmingham) a few months ago, and this last week. I must admit this week's visit was a pleasant improvement on a few months ago. The room was small but pleasant. The leisure centre, part of the hotel, is excellent, and I enjoyed the pool, which is big enough to do proper lengths. The buildings exterior give a false impression, as the inside is much nicer! The staff are pleasant and the meals were really enjoyable. Minor gripes: no sound on the Sky news channel, my PC could not detect a wireless signal for the advertised "broadband in room" internet, and I ordered vegetables for my room service meal , but it arrived without vegetables. In Hyatts favour, I did not try to get these small things fixed, and they probably would have been , had I pointed them out to a staff member. I saw a lot of bad reviews on Goggle Maps about this hotel, but I think it has improved a lot lately, and I told them so on their "could we do more" survey. Just maybe I will be back in 2 weeks time.
