Comfort Hotel Boersparken Oslo
Well, what can i say, you get what you pay for.. almost.

I chose this Hotel because I looked on the Map of Oslo before I travelled, and it looked close to the water. No sea view, though. When I arrived, I was a bit surprised to find no restaurant at the Hotel. Later I discovered a viby square nearby with plenty of restaurants. The Wi Fi in the Hotel was good, although a bit slow at times, but fast enough to work ( and play! ).

I walked to the Ferry terminal most nights, just to see the impressive boat that goes to Copenhagen every night, so the Hotel is conveniently located near the harbour. The only unsvoury thing about the area, is that I was propositioned by some err "ladies of the night", lets call them (even though they were there from late afternoon!).

The room was small, I had no privacy as my room faced inwards on to a square, as did many other rooms, and we could see into each other's rooms. To get privacy, you had to close the curtains. The basin had no plug, and it became apparent why, when I plugged it myself to shave... the overflow didnt lead down the drain, it spilled out onto the floor. So, some genius decided the fix was to remove the plug - thats what I would expect in a 3rd world country, not in Norway!

For around £100 per night, I would have expected some sort of room service, tea facilities in the room ( there was nothing) , and a bigger room, and a basin with a plug :-(
