So we land slightly ahead of schedule, but we can't "park" the aircraft bacuse we have to wait for the 'guidance system"



Then another wait of nearly 10 minutes while we wait for the step machine driver to arrive.



What? Did no-one at BA or BAA know that we were coming? Didn't the pilot radio ahead? Its a normal scheduled flight- so why did no-one expect us at Heathrow? Its as if we were a mystery flight and we landed out of the blue with no warning and caught everyone by surprise!



I could see the driver of the steps arrive -  was about as quick as a sloth - dawdle dawdle, no care that 120 people are waiting for his stupid steps - grrrr !



The Captain was at least aopologetic, and I suppose that's something - I bet Alitalia would just leave you sitting in your seat and not tell you anything at all (- actually I know thats true - been there , done that !)
