BA 696 Heathrow to Vienna Monday 25 June. All went well, except they sent us to gate 22, which is a long walk. Yes, there are travellators, but if course, they were switched off!







Then we walked down a really filthy stairwell to board the bus - it had marks everywhere, was sticky, had litter lting around, and among other things there was a pair of used latex gloves lying there ! ???







The flight went weel, but a ridiculous wait for the baggage. More than 40 minutes. What is really the point of flying at 1000 km/h , and then having to wait 40 mins for the stupid bag ??????







CAT train from Airport to City Centre is a very very nice clean, newish double decker train. I admit I haven't been on the Underground train from Heathrow to London, but if its anything like the Northern Line Underground train, it would look pretty pathetic compared to Vienna's "CAT" train.







16 minutes from Airport to the city and it runs about every 30 minutes, cost 9 Euros - fantastic! Then I had a 30 min taxi ride to my meeting - that was fine, a nice, newish Mazda6 .
