Entry for September 27, 2006 ![]() It's September. Nonetheless, I could just feel the Christmas season approaching. Must have been the rain. Anyway, here's what wife dished out for lunch last Christmas. Parents were around so wife was a little nervous at that time. Things went well. Picture shows cooked brocolli covered with thick creamy cheese, steamed potatoes with herbs and spice, oven roasted chicken, bacon and sausages, salads and ham and another salad dish blocked by the Thousand Island, comprising sea asparagus and some other seafood. Let me ask you this - what's wealth? I mean, how do you define wealth? It's an important question as by describing wealth accurately, you could basically measure whether one is wealthy or not. I'm not just talking about money as we probably all agree that wealth can be applied to many things eg. money, relationships, health, etc..I've come across a rather interesting explanation on weath yesterday and that is wealth is the storage of value. Houses and cars - they're not necessarily wealth unless you get to keep them. Let's take the wealth of having friends for example. Suppose you have loads of friends for the moment - they are around because they just want to feed something off you. Well, then you don't exactly have the wealth of having friends in this instance. There's no permanence or storage of goodwill. On the other hand, if you invest in time and heart your relationship with a loved one and allow it to sustain till eternity - now that's wealth for you! “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”- Matthew 6:33 2006-09-27 05:58:14 GMT
