We just got back from my family reunion.  It took place in Iowa Falls Iowa.  I had a very good time.  I have been corresponding with a distant cousin (7th cousin) for years, I got to meet her last weekend. I met several cousins I have not seen since I was a toddler.  Now that's a long time.  This picture is me and hubby.  He said, you go to all my family stuff with me, of course I'll go to your family reunion with you.

A woman who is on my friend page who lives in Arkansas, I so thouroughly disagree with her.  I believe she served in the military.  That's a good thing, she disagrees with any display of religion.  If it wasn't for my "religion" I could not make it through life, the various things life throws at me. Life is seldom fun unless you go out of your way to make it fun.  I usually just go out of my way to make it bearable.

In 1990 when my son passed away, 11 months after my father passed and 5 months after my dad's mother passed, if not for my "religion" I would have become a basket case that would have remained in the "basket" forever.  When I was a teenager I decided that if there is no God then I have no desire to be in this awful painful world.  So I set about finding proof of Him, I found it.  Others have asked me how someone so logical and practical can believe in God.  My question for all of them is, how can you not believe???  I don't have to prove there is a God, you should prove there isn't one.  It isn't possible you know, ask any scientist.  The most successful ones believe.

When we were teenagers and we were separated for extended periods, when we saw each other again my sister would run and jump into my arms for a hug.  This most recent one was in private.  It occurred to me how strange it would have looked in a public setting.  Since we are now both over 45.
