Hallo.. apa khabar?

Apa khabar appears to be the most popular Indonesian words among those who have previously come across with an Indonesian native speaker. Apa means what, khabar (from Arabic) means news - so it literally means What is the news? However, this expression is actually shortened form of Apa khabar kamu? or Apa khabarmu? Therefore, it actually means What is your news?
